It will work until the DHCP server assigns another device that same address. Dont you need to set the LAN address of (Router 2) to one of the available static addresses on that subnet outside of the DHCP pool range of (Router 1) so you dont get duplicate IP addresses? (192.168.1.2) thru (192.168.1.99)

This is a very informative video, i have a question. Which one is better in terms of wifi range and speed, Using a WiFi extender or connecting 2 routers through Ethernet cable

For good speed Wireless Link between two routers must be strong as wireless signal degraded by obstacles.to achieve strong link between routers use other medium such as wired Ethernet/Fibre. This will probably not work if SSID-broadcast is disabled on the primary router. SSID-broadcast disabling is a good idea from security standpoint.

@@nghannking wds is required if connecting between two different routers models (vendor). If both routers from the same company(vendor) then it doesn't requires. Wds protocol is not standardized.i.e different vendors implement wds differently. Sometimes it works evenif routers are from different vendors. Sometimes it doesn't work even between the same vendor. So you have to workaround.

Wifi is noisy medium.WiFi strength fluctuates a lot.there are many reasons for that. You should place router closer to the main router.so evenif signal fluctuates ext router will get sufficient signal strength.
