Do you have to connect your pc to the Ethernet cable on the router to start your setup? Then have the router connect to your main router?

Salutations my dear sir! This video has been a lifesaver to me! However, I have one small dilemma. I can get the bridge router to connect to the 5Ghz connection from my main router, and my laptop even shows Ethernet connected and 5 Ghz signal being transmitted. However, no internet is being received. Might you know what is causing this?

Mine isn’t working. It isn’t changing to “Wired” connection after I finish the bridge settings and most importantly mine just says “updating settings” not “rebooting router” after applying my settings

Do you leave cable in router for signal? Is router 2 wireless transmission can you move router to a different room?

Anything in router 2 has to be connected by wires, there is playlist you can watch install CFW and have the ability too have both routers use wireless and physical connections.

How come every time I try bridge mode it just completely kills my 5ghz connection? I follow the exact same steps as the video and then my 5ghz connection becomes unusable but my 2ghz is fine

It work sometimes but my 5ghz will bounce between working and not working but a majority of the time it will not work

Did you get it resolved? It sounds like the 5ghz radio is either to far from the house main router or 1 poor internal connection to the radio. Or the 5ghz router could be failing. Hope it helps!

My r700 keeps droping out for some reason. My power led indicator light goes faint and non of the other leds turn on what could it be ?

plug it elsewhere, or replace the cable its getting power so thats a plus.

Yes, I did this with a Modem > Router to bridge wirelsss router > Technically if your modem is half router/ you should be able to do this

I can't say for sure, but if its the same model as the R700 Id recommend rolling back the firmware, I've heard they have taken out features in later version of the firmware. I have video in my playlist showing you how to rollback the firmware you could attempt. Let me know if it works or not. thanks.

I followed all the steps but after updating the router, the IP address no longer works. I went to CMD to search IP but it’s blank.

@@MsMonism if its plugged in directly use cmd and run Ipconfig /all Look for your default gateway.

Then try using that IP address and you should be able to hit your box. You could also attempt a factory reset and see if the problem persist
