Make SURE you have no other controllers connected to your computer. Windows will be already connected to the other controller and will not recognize the dual sense. Trust me on this one.

If you use a cable and plug in a PS5 controller, will it show up as a generic USB controller without installing anything extra? I understand that all of the more advanced features won't work, but will Windows at least see the two analog sticks and the face buttons?

when i go and connect my controller thru the wired way i cant hear any audio it works if i use bluetooth but i have to connect it thru wire when i use remote play anyway to fix this issue

Check your audio devices. Whenever you connect one of these controllers it switches to the controllers audio port since it has the ability to be an audio device! Very easy fix!

It sucks that some games will still show Xbox button configurations even though you’re using a PS 5 controller example, Red dead redemption 2 & Cyberpunk, 2077. I don’t feel like messing with mods just to get it to show PlayStation buttons.

it doesn't bother me because I'm a long gamer using play station and have adapted to Xbox layout when I bought my only Xbox contoller. well Y is triangle, square is X, cross(X) is A and circle is B only a few games are mapped on the PS button layout and a lot of them are on xbox

Someone help me out guys ..I literally just bought one of these ps5 controllers and it's not so much as popping up on my computer..it didn't come with a cable so Iv been using an Xbox to pc type c cable ..it charges the ps5 controller but it is just not popping up on the computer...I am wondering if I have to use the ds4 software first or something

@@bradrhayne9182 I think you need to install that so that the controller has a communication to your pc, since the ps5 is not native to PC the reason you are not seeing something but I could be wrong though

There's two types of cables, cables that charge only and cables that charge and allow u to transfer data. I think u need to buy a new cable.@@bradrhayne9182

You still have to have it plugged in for the Dualsense features to work right? I don't think the features work wirelessly or last I heard they didn't.

very true, Matt! You have to have it wired for the dual sense stuff to work but you can still play with the wireless option.

The laptop detects the ps5 controller using the bluetooth dongle from the pc but with the bluetooth dongle in the pc the pc wont detect it or connect to it without a cable how do i fix this?

The ps5 controller doesn't work with haptics unless you connect a headset to your actual ps5 controller through the jack. How do I use my USB headphones and connect wired, while still getting haptic feedback (audio output set to your actual headphones, not the controller)?

@@mr.legend2004 perfectly, even without any emulator. I only play Steam games and Call of Duty. For call of duty, just use a USB cable, and you will be fine. It might work without a USB cable if I use the emulator(dsx), but I haven't tried that yet.

Really? All I needed to do was plus the cable into the back of my pc and it works just like that. Never tried wireless and that would definitely take some time but wired should be good
