How to connect wireless Apple CarPlay on 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Thanks for the video. Just brought home the 2021 Caligraphy and was going nuts trying to get the wireless Apple carplay set up. Now I see why. Not thrilled that the higher trim has downgraded options. What else is "lost" on the Caligraphy?

RAJ1900VA thanks for watching. I’m not sure why the better system doesn’t get the wireless carplay. There could potentially be an update in the future but I’m not sure. Other than that you are losing nothing with the Calligraphy. Love the extra lighting in the rear lighting accent!

Hey man! I'm having trouble-shooting a customer's wireless connection. He bought a Caligraphy and we can't get it to prompt him to wirelessly connect. He has the latest update for his iphone, but based on the comments on here, the Caligraphy actually loses the wireless carplay??

KevinAlustrium unfortunately when you go to the larger display wireless CarPlay is no longer available. Nothing that I see at this time about an update coming. Fingers crossed for soon!

@@terryolay4613 I’m pretty confident it’s coming sooner rather than later based on the feedback. It looks like because the smaller screen was a new system and the larger screen was a rollover is the reasoning why.

Why do I get an error message " Phone Not Responding. Please reconnect and try again." This is on a 2021 Palisade SEL and will happen when using Waze either wired or wireless connected. Thanks

Can you test it with using Waze navigation and Spotify streaming at the same time? I have been using a Carlinkit dongle and get lag issues when using the two together

Yes, once the system is on you can visually have waze going and then have your choice of audio playing. Good question!

The Calligraphy & limited don't have wireless Apple Car play or Android auto. You have to connect via USB.

That is correct, any model that has the larger display does not have wireless CarPlay

Do the lower trim models that don’t have the 10 inch screen have Sirius radio or do you have to use your phone through the app to get it?

David Jacobs any screen that has the 10.25 inch has the XM and the smaller displays unfortunately do not have it. For 2020 you had to have the Drivers Guidance package and for 2021 they’ve consolidated it into the premium package. They’re finding fewer people are utilizing XM with all the technology we have so I can see XM becoming more scarce built in.

David Jacobs this is correct. Not sure exactly is the reasoning behind that. I plan on trying to figure that out. Still has the wired capability however.

David Jacobs it’s definitely more different than what I thought they would do. Just based on the sales I think Hyundai realized they could have easily charged more and now added the Calligraphy and took away the cosmetics on the Limited. I’ll be doing a full hands own rundown on the calligraphy once we get them in shortly!

Not true that more expensive brands have wireless Apple CarPlay. I just turned in my 2020 Chevy Equinox, Premiere version (company car) and it’s wireless CarPlay worked seamlessly. I have the 2021 Limited Palisade and haven’t had any luck with the wireless connectivity yet, which is a bit of a bummer. Other than that, I love the vehicle so far

Yeah the larger display wasn't updated like the smaller display so the wireless capability will probably arrive with the next year
