Thanks For sharing This , Since I've been practicing Reading Runes I been calling on the Norns . So far in my practice I say these words from Northern Magic By Edred Thorsson "Wend forth Out 'the wide worlds ye maidens all-mighty out the eastern darkness enter -Urdhr-Verdhandi-Skuld within you I lay the lots. I've been casting then picking 3 from cast with closed eyes or looking upward. I've always felt a need to connect to the Norns. I had a very strong dream about three young women (Im a young man myself) in an old wooden house. They were witches, and they knew me, and I knew them. I felt close to one especially. They told me to lay down in a bed, and the three young women were standing up around me while I was laying in the bed, and they performed a magic ritual on me, to purge me from negative energy. Last image I have in my mind is the face of the woman I felt close to, with an emotion hard to describe... Reserved and caring, while I was thankful and hoping to see her again. Of course, when I woke up, I thought about the Norns. What do you think about this oniric adventure?

Carving uses tools not just hands. Twining is a form of spinning. It is plying the yarns already spun into two or four plyed strings. Knots are almost never used unless it’s a must. Knots break the flow and must be removed to keep going. Knots would be placed at the end to stop the weaving or for decoration. You can weave without any tools or very little. You can weave using only a board, pins and your hands like many cultures in South America did. I see the Norns as doing all these things and they wouldn’t need many tools. Thors hammer is a tool. The blacksmith uses tools. The ancestors used tools and worked hard in their everyday lives. I can see the Norns working hard as well. Creating fate would not be an easy task and it makes them so much more relatable and meaningful if we can see ourselves in them.

I’ve had visions of Valkyrie sitting at the base of the roots of the tree of life at the roots that grow into the waters of the underworld. The were sitting in black robes and I could only see their hair and beautiful faces but fierce faces. They were weaving and spinning and gathering together. I jumped into the waters and was swimming because I cannot walk anymore. I was so happy and swimming like a fish and as I came up from under the water I sprouted my wings and flew straight into the air and the weaving ladies joined me. As there wings opened their robes disappeared. We went straight into the sky. I had one white wing on the right and one black wing on the left. The Valkyrie to my right had white wings and to the left were black winged. There were several. Nine on each side of me. It was an amazing meditation. I will never forget it.
