Thanks for the video. The Enjoyable free app can be used to map keyboard keys to the controller for games that aren't compatible. Not perfect but a nice workaround.

what kind of mac/system are you running? my controller does not connect via bluetooth to my macbook pro M1 2021 running on Sonoma. 360controller is also no longer updated since 2020 and every time I try to install it, it fails and says to contact the software manufacturer 🤷🏻 are there really no other driver options out there for free???

Mine doesnt play or work with steam games. Ones you're inside games the new remotes wont read the joysticks. It plays on everything but inside steam games. The joysticks just bring up the mouse while every other button works. Any suggestions?

disable steam input, rightclick on the game in the steam library and change that setting.

So I connect it but it says I'm connected but it don't work on anything it's just a Bluetooth logo. And it don't work

So I don’t have a series x yet, I have the Xbox one and I’ve been trying to pair up my controller to my mac to play some games via the xbox cloud gaming feature. For some reason it hasn’t been able to connect/show up when I open Bluetooth in my Mac

I have a Series X and although my MacBook shows the controller is connected via Bluetooth, it will not connect to cloud gaming.

You dont need to turn on the controller/xbox. Just hold the paring button on the controller and it will power up directly into paring mode not turning on the xbox. Youre welcome.
