So many videos forget to say to KEEP PRESSING THE BUTTON ON YOUR GARAGE REMOTE! The past hour I've been googling and searching videos on how to program my Chevy and the old garage door box on the ceiling. This video - perfect. I held the button and boom... it works. Thanks man!!

Couldn't get my Encore GX to pair. Turns out I wasn't clearing first, I [wrongfully] assumed my new pair would overwrite what was there before. Thanks to your video I was able to pair first try after watching the video. Thank you

@@lerma2891try this. First program the car using the remote. Then do the learn button step using the machine. I couldn’t make it work until i did both in that order. Good luck

Make sure car is in Run mode but not running!

When I program should the key be turned on or off? Should the engine be running or not? I have a rolling code and have to use a repeater for 2007 CADI DTS.

Yes! That last part is the key then... rolling codes (our '21 Silverado Z71 Trail Boss and '19 Blazer Premier included) require the additional step of using garage door opener itself PLUS the pressing and releasing of the selected button in the vehicle a few times until it works. Thank you. 👍

Can you program a garage door opener without the the remote door opener? I haven't used a remote opener for at least 12 years.

I have followed the instructions to the tee and also those in the owner's manual and I can't get it to work. I have the rolling code. When I hit the button in the car the light blinks on the garage door opener it just doesn't open the door.

Didn't work. Since almost ALL garage door openers since 1996 now us rolling code, is step 2 required? I burn out a motor playing with the first 2 steps.

Why do manufacturers allow Homelink to work when the car is off? This is totally unsafe

That depends on your vehicle. My Toyota Tacoma and Ford F250 only works while running. But my wife’s Acura works all the time. This means the Homelink has power when the ignition switch is off.

Hello! is the vehicle on while you are trying to program? It will not work while in accessory mode.

Yes work second time!!! The button in garage turned blue first but that ddnt work I pressed and held it turned purple that worked

This actually worked. Last video ibwstchrd didnt work i had to do the things in car and then hitblearn button on opener nnrun back n hit which button in wanted...all in all successful
