Love your vids Sean, and by the way - just got a set of Elexir strings purchased in a little guitar shop in Glastonbury... I had a premonition that it would happen. We stumbled across the place and I blurted the question ' You don't happen to have a set of Elexir strings do you?" And he said - "In fact I have one set - so they must be yours!" £10 later they're in the bag!!

63 YO NOOB here. “Playing” 13 months. Question: A G# C#m F#. I like the sound of this progression. What key and progression is this?

Chords are all from E Major scale. Progression is in a different mode than usual though. Which is where I get confused!

I would call that a 1 3 6 in the key of A with the G# acting as a secondary dominant to the 3

ahhh so you write in the key of F'? should a person choose a key and write in that, or should i still fuss about with all the keys and scales, which i sorta enjoy .. since most songs are written in C' then G, then D, cetera... should i learn the others ? curious as to your opiono8in
