@@xarxos5274 one of my favorite vanilla moments was during a Run i did on Greece/Byzantine empire. I kept Justifying wars on China, fully occupied them, Then after the peace made sure they fell to rebels. For some reason every time a new government took over, my truce with them vanished and I could go right back in to take more territory. When I figured that out, I felt like I broke the system, And would repeat it with france on my Großdeutschland run

If it looks interesting then go for it! I think Vic2 is in some ways similar to CK2 in that both are closer to historical simulations than just history-inspired video games, unlike for example EU4.

Maybe they did some save scumming or minor use of the console to make things smoother, but I don't see any reason to suspect more than tat.

Following your detailed explanation I think Italy is the one of the best option for a WC, the Garibaldi rebels let's you unify immediately and the _Italia irredenta_ gives you a bunch of cores and therefore revanchism, Italy can also get an alliance with France almost day one.

Hello there! Oh, it's been months after I saw you for the first time. However I'm still here watching you, after lots of events in my life like world tour and marriage. Started my own world conquest as a Russia btw. No pun about current situation. Just love to see my nation prospering at least in the game. Using chronology mod (russian analog for HPM) which gives you 40 more years to the gameplay (you start in 1816 and finish in 1956). At first losed some wars for educational, medical and inveromental reforms so that my population grows rapidly. And now your video will give me more tricks for my run. Thank you ;)

Guess I should restart my conquest :)))) Because I did lots of mistakes like passing lots of reforms at the start and not caring about jingoism :D Or not. Because chronology mod has lots of updates making conquest easier like: a) It gives more optional reforms b) 40 more years c) As a Soviet Union you have event for joining every proletarian country to you one step each. Still not sure tho. Pretty ironic that Greece is more valiable for conquering the world than Russia

Haha, yeah Russia isn't quite as viable as you might think since it's difficult to get a lot of Revanchism as them, but it's probably still possible!

Great video, around 31:20 talking on colonial points, it’s usually much easier to spam out commerce raiders, as they can be built in level 1 ports, you can build way more, more quickly, with less investment, and are only extremely slightly less efficient in supply. This should be a decision based on where you’re at when you need to start building ships

Vicky 2 is probably the paradox game I know the least about out of all the ones I played, including HoI 1, 2, 3 and 4, EU 4 and CK 2 and 3. But I love it anyways. It's so complex and there's something to that, especially the economy. I wish I understood more about it, so I'll watch any and all tutorials you'll make in the future. My by far most successful playthrough so far was as the Chinese empire. I ended up with all of China, japan, Indochina, Indonesia, Burma and India as well as some other land here and there. I led a bunch of great wars against the UK and won them all, together with my allies, the USA and Germany. Here's an idea that I haven't tested. Start as Chinese empire, get rebels, lose your vassal states, release and play as the central Chinese releasable nation with Beifaren as main culture, conquer all the now independent states and the empire itself and play a unified China with Beifaren not as tolerated but as main culture. I think that sounds pretty strong.

Vicky is probably the game with the most complex underlying mechanics as well as one of the least intuitive UI's, so it's understandable that it would be the one you understand the least! I assume your primary culture pop gives you better bonuses than your accepted culture pops, so China with all Beifaren as primary culture should be way more powerful than the Chinese empire, which has Manchu as primary, which is tiny and insignificant, and Beifaren only as accepted.

I would also like to clarify on ideologies: in fact, the worst option is a reactionary ideology. They cannot carry out reforms at all and even recall them. At least the communists promote socialism, which is better. But nevertheless, it’s still not the same, since as a result of the coup, political reforms are withdrawn, although it is these reforms that they withdraw without the coup. But this is better than the libarian and reactionary. By the way, if communists and libertarians remove the opportunity to carry out uprisings of their ideology, then reactionaries rise up under reactionaries. I would also like to add that democracy is not entirely necessary. From an absolute monarchy you can easily become a democracy, but there is no need to move forward sharply: reforms must be carried out slowly, according to a conservative strategy. But when the socialists appear, 1860, it is better then, or close to this time, to roll over either into democracy, or, which, in my opinion, is better, into a constitutional monarchy of the Prussian model, and then, perhaps, into His Majesty’s government. This is better for me, since you can appoint a ruling party and choose the bonuses you need. Well, then the Democrats. But when fascists already appear, it is better to choose them, because even in a democracy, which generally reflects the demands of society and allows the adoption of necessary reforms in case of serious problems, aggressiveness is needed to accept reforms (and who knows if the libertarians will win such elections) , then the fascists can accept any reforms without aggressiveness, and even the necessary characteristics: state capitalism with protectionism? Great! Jigoism? Just what you need! Moralism does not have much influence, although it raises awareness of unaccepted religions, but they leave more often and on the one hand, there is less risk of uprisings, and on the other, there are more problems with aggressiveness, this is a double-edged sword. As for the residence, this policy allows others to start wars against you, which helps to unite the world faster, since their national corks are assimilated more slowly, but there are no less problems with uprisings, however, in my opinion, the advantages outweigh here for taking over the world. But I still wonder why democracy is better than Her Majesty’s Government?

What are you talking about? The only ship types that don't boost colonial power at all are transports, every other ship gives at least some power. The table I show for colonial power from ships at 31:00 in the video is correct.

Hello, and thank you, I'm glad you like the video! I don't expect I'll make too many straight guide videos since it's not really my thing, but I might touch upon different stuff in speedrun explanation videos and such. And I'm afraid I'll primarily focus on vanilla, because vanilla is the version I play and I've barely played HPM or HFM myself. Besides, plenty of people still play vanilla, saying that "nobody" does is a bit exaggerated :)

i find this really useful, but i still have a question: how did you deal with war exhaustion decreasing cb generation speed?

I think I had a bit of problems with that in the early parts of the run, but by and large you can avoid a lot of war exhaustion if you play things carefully and always try to hold the initiative in any war you fight, so you don't get occupied too much. It also gets easier the further into the run you get, because I believe war exhaustion from occupations depends on the proportion of your provinces that are occupied, so the more total territory you have the less war exhaustion you'll get from the same number of occupied provinces. But if it starts to become too much of a problem you can just stay at peace for a time every now and then, you can usually cram in some periods of peace between wars without losing time since you have to wait for war justifications/diplo points anyway.

Unfortunately I don't, I have issues with that myself. You can try lowering graphics settings but that doesn't help too much. In the end the only thing you can do to speed things up is to get a faster processor for your computer, I think.

Thank you! With enough experience and dedication you can probably pull something like this off as well, but it might take a while :) As for how to get revanchism as the UK: I actually explain that at 8:34 in the video. You just let Irish separatists gain independence, since that preserves your cores on their territory. You can then also release Scotland to eliminate some more cores and increase revanchism further. In general, most countries can gain revanchism by losing core territories to separatist rebels, or by intentionally losing a war and letting other countries conquer stuff from you. But for some it's a lot easier than for others. The only countries that can't get revanchism are those that only have one state, since then they can't lose any territory without being fully annexed.

@@xarxos5274 Oh right, Thank you! I have one more question though, if you have time to answer: During your WC campaign your were disappointed when Italy formed, because you mentioned a trick to conquer all of it at once if it didnt. how would that work?

@@iggitteggitt3187 Oh yeah, well you can do a trick with Italy which is very similar to the Liberation-Conquest exploit: First you reduce Sardinia-Piedmont down to one state, then you declare a Conquest war on them while Garibaldi rebels are occupying another Italian country. Once those rebels enforce their demands, Sardinia-Piedmont will form Italy and most likely integrate all other Italian countries, and then you can enforce your Conquest war goal and annex the whole of Italy. But if Italy forms too soon then you can't do it, which is what happened for me. In theory you could also do something similar for other countries that can form through rebels, such as India, Germany (if you're not playing as them) or Arabia, but it's much trickier because only great powers can form those nations through rebels but it's hard to get a Conquest war goal on a great power. Italy is a lot easier because Sardinia-Piedmont doesn't have to be a great power to form Italy.

Yeah Philippines are a tricky one! If you declare war on someone else and try to intentionally lose, then maybe they'll take one of your states so you get revanchism?

It might be doable, but it's a bit tricky to get revanchism as Spain. You'd probably have to intentionally lose a few wars to get others to conquer your cores from you, which might get you some.

It's definitely not realistic, that's why it's an exploit :) Do you mean if I think it will be in Victoria 3? If so, no idea, they seem to overhaul the warfare system so much in general, that it will be hard to predict how stuff like this would work!

It usually happens to me, that up to 40 % of the people have "Pro Military" as their dominant issue. Which means, that the jingoism increases in a much slower way. Is there any solution? Thank you! Unfortunately it's hard to avoid getting a lot of Pro Military if you also want Jingoism, since they both increase from much of the same factors. The big key difference is Revanchism, which increases Jingoism but not Pro Military. So like always, my best suggestion would be to just try to get as much Revanchism as possible.

I have a question unrelated to word conquest. It is posible to assimilate like 5/ 10 porcent of a non aceptes culture if you play as an European state ? I could never achieve it without cheats or mods Edit: thanks for the info about revanchismo I have like 800 hours and never understand that specific concept jeje

I'm not an expert on assimilation mechanics, but overall assimilation is greatly reduced for cultures that have cores on the province they live in. So for example it's very difficult to assimilate Polish pops as Prussia since Poland has cores on those provinces, but if Polish pops emigrate to the New World then they tend to assimilate quickly because they have no cores there. That's one of the reasons why assimilation in Europe happens more slowly than in the New World.

Russia can to make revanchism too: 1) Poland will want to separate from Russia 2) Russia can to provocate the separatists gain independence in Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and so on. And by the way, Russia can to conquest Japan, China and others asian countries before the modernisation. And Russia have the most big quality of provinces in the game, but all is its cores. But I don't know if Russia can to conquest te territories very fast.

Russia can get some revanchism if they manage to provoke separatists everywhere possible, but it's actually not that much even if they lose to all their separatists. I've tried it out and if I recall correctly I still think they had less than 10% revanchism. Russia is just so big that it's hard for them to get a lot of it unfortunately. But it's a big advantage that if you're playing Russia you don't have to conquer Russia, so that fact alone might make them more viable.

@@xarxos5274 well yep, but Russia ave 269 provinesand it is the biggest in the game, but it isn´t absolutely great, because the UK have 261 and it have to do it only in Ireland and Scotland. But Germany maximum can take only 206

@@user-el2rm4nj2h The UK is probably a good candidate. They've got a lot going for them, since they're already very powerful at the start and own a lot of territory all over the world. Germany is a candidate too, but they're probably not quite as fast since the start is a bit slower. Other than that maybe USA is an option, but their start is even weaker than the others so perhaps not.

I did forget about them, yeah. I never had any issues with Reactionary rebels during my run and I don't think it's very likely overall. But if they appeared they would be as bad as Bourgeois Dictatorships essentially, except for having better policies.

Hm I'm not sure if I agree with that, Paradox has made world conquests very possible in most of their games, sometimes even encouraging it with achievements. Either way, I highly doubt they'll release anymore updates for Vic2 at this point.

That's a good question. I think a world conquest is theretically possible for most countries, but the most important thing is that you need a reliable way to get revanchism. Countries that only have cores on a single state and have no way of getting more cores besides the generic coring event, are going to have a very difficult time getting revanchism and might therefore not be able to WC within the time frame of the game. Any country that can get revanchism should be possible, although if they start out very weak then it might be difficult in practice.

If you're fine with save scumming you could maybe cheese elections by running elections constantly and reloading every time you don't get the Jingoism event, which could compensate for the lack of revanchism. But it would be extremely tedious and without save scumming it's doubtful you could ever get enough jingoism that way. There is maybe one other way actually, which is if you play a country that can do the infinite infamy reduction exploit (for example Krakow), because then you might be able to keep your infamy below the limit for the entire game, which would enable you to make use of great wars and world wars in the late game, which in turn might allow you conquer things fast enough to make it. But I haven't attempted that in practice so I'm not sure how viable it would actually be, and either way it would only be possible for a small handful of nations.

25000 is the maximum amount for uncivs. It works differently for them since they use research points in a fundamentally different way from civilized countries. For civilized countries the max you can store is always 1 year's worth of points.

@@xarxos5274 because that does happen to me on vanilla if i took over so many countries unless there are 8 nations with atleast 2 states left, once i went under this the game would instant crash, that also happened in the mod im making & when i talked to people on many discord to fix this & they said the same thing, the game would crash if there isn't enough nations to be gps, & they told me i had to use a mod that had placeholders to avoid this problem, also i saw on a few clips in this video that there was a graphic mod being used

@@Thunder103093 That's not a graphics mod, that's just lowered graphics settings in the base game. I think it's called "advanced water" IIRC. I lowered my graphics settings toward the late game in a (mostly futile) attempt to reduce lag.
