Injuries are a part of life unfortunately. If you're going hard, or even if you're extra careful - sometimes getting hurt is unavoidable! You can either let it get you down and slow your progress, or you can choose to embrace it and come out on the other side better and stronger than you were before the injury!! It's all on you to stay positive and keep working!
Please check out all of our other videos on this channel and consider subscribing! It helps us out a lot and we truly appreciate every single subscriber!
In this video, Nomad Krav Maga Chief Instructor Shannon Langwell, explains 2 drills that you can use in your training to continue making progress, even while injured and healing. Shannon and Mike share several valuable mind hacks that you can use to motivate yourself to keep pushing, even if it's slow and steady!
Shannon ruptured his pectoralis major tendon, and Mike ruptured (80% tear) his achilles tendon while training. It's been 4-6 weeks since surgery for both guys and they are recovering well. They have been continuing training, even at a walking, or crawling, pace - which is what they do! Nomad Krav Maga leads by example! Of course, train smart - and don't hurt yourself!
This video is applicable to all practitioners of combat oriented martial arts and MMA fighters. Although our name has "Krav Maga" in it, we do so much more than just traditional Krav Maga. We incorporate modern training methods from Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ, Judo, and weapons-based combatives into our training at Nomad Krav Maga. Come check us out!
If you're interested in becoming an affiliate of Nomad Krav Maga and running our program in your city, send us a message and Shannon would be happy to discuss how he can help!
