Thank you. Yes, I love it! I'm recording a song that I wrote on guitar. I hummed the bass track, because I don't play bass. Then I converted the audio to MIDI, and... voila. Well, almost. Lots of editing ahead, but at least I got the riffs down. Rock on, brother.

Hello again and many thanks for your tutorial. I’m having a couple of small troubleshooting issues. I’ve converted a midi track into audio the opposite way round of course. The midi track bounces into audio however, when I go to play the audio version there is just a straight thin white line through the strip and there is no sound. I’m aware, in order to play external midi instruments, it is only a signal and therefore, the sound coming from the external instrument has to be paired with midi as again, midi is only a signal. Again, I bounce the mid external track to an audio track and again, when playing the audio version, there is no sound.

there are some nice vids explaining how to do this, just search for "how to use external midi instruments in Logic Pro"

@@Verysickbeats yes, I have done that, but I can’t seem to find the way to solve the issue though I’ll have a search again. You wouldn’t happen to know of hand just for quickness?

Hello, I’ve experimented and sure enough I’ve managed to transform an audio track into middy. However, the audio track I converted from audio to midi is a lead vocal which I have sung myself. However, it has again created a midday version but the only problem is, it is playing a different instrument (brass) instead of playing my vocal though it has kept the vocal on the audio track originally recorded. I thought when converting, it would still keep it as my original vocal track i’m still converted to middy so therefore, I thought it would play back in middy my exact vocal/singing.

unfortunately is doesn't work that way but you can still adjust your original voice with midi notes using flex pitch

Instead of a lousy bass sound you could have used a midi flute itself to demonstrate the change from wave to midi
