This is beautiful! I HATED Math at school and now I'm trying to repair my relationship with Math, and videos like these help me a lot! If everyone had a teacher like YOU, then Math would for sure be one of the most liked subjects in school! Thank you for your work! :)

I had a wide-open grin when I realized why you multiplied by 100 and then simply expressed the remainder as 99. Now I know why I hear you smiling so much when you give these lectures, Josh. Thanks!

Hi. I am a nursing degree apprentice and I just wanted to reach out to you to say thank you. Before I enrolled in my uni course I needed a maths grade. I never managed it in school. Failed again in college. At 32 years old I finally managed to pass a maths exam with thanks to your explanations. I was told to give up by people that knew me because I would never manage it, but I did it because you made it so much simpler. Next year I will graduate as a nurse and part of that success will be because of your help on here. I can’t thank you enough!

I wanted to let you know that you’re channel saved the day for me and my 11 year old granddaughter (6th grade). I was helping her with her homework and she had a math problem I had no idea how to solve. The problem was: A bag has 3 white marbles and 4 green marbles. What is the probability that if three marbles are removed one after the other, with no marbles replaced, all three of those marbles are white? We had no clue what to do until I found almost the exact same problem on your channel!! Not only did it help us find the answer (6/210), but we understood the process for solving other similar problems involving dice and coins!👍THANK YOU!

We can use a shortcut trick also for 0.1352352352... . For the denominator, use a digit 9 for each digit in the repeating group (after the decimal point), then followed by a digit 0 for each digit (if any) after the decimal point but before the start of the first repeating group. There are three repeating digits and one digit after the decimal point but before the start of the first repeating group, so the denominator is 9990. The numerator is the number formed by all digits up to the first complete repeating group, minus the number formed by the digits (if any) before the start of the first repeating group: 1352 - 1 = 1351. So the answer is 1351/9990. This is in reduced form already. Have a blessed, wonderful day!

Can anyone tell me how to quickly & easily work out DAILY compound interest?. I know that, for example an APR of 5.99% means that it makes 1,000 dollars / pounds / euros turn into 1,059.90 dollars / pounds / euros over a year by multiplying 1,000 by 1.000159833002843 by 365 times (I did this long hand in a spreadsheet by "guess then adjust", "guess then adjust" with the figure on day 365 becoming 1,059.90 on day 365 with enough guesses and adjustments) - what I'm after is a quicker way to do it than "a little up, a little down, one more decimal place needed - followed by a little up, a little down, one more decimal place, etc" I am after checking my mortgage statement where I believe my bank has made a mistake.
