these products are just a gimick to get you to buy their high priced package soap, so this is a very handy thing to know. I haven't opened the ones I have so I wasn't sure how easy it would be to refill the container. Thanks

Yes I have done this to my system before and it is very easy to do. No need to buy refill at $5 a bottle.

Quick and easy, though I can see where over time it's likely that the plastic cap will break. What I did instead was to drill/cut/melt a hole through the top and glue on (using "Amazing Goop" or similar permanent glue) a plastic screw top from a quart paper container of milk. This results in a large enough hole to allow easy refilling, with a screw top that looks like it belongs there, and won't leak if the unit or the refill is tipped over. It takes a little time, but is worth the effort!

I have so many of the hand soap systems that I just used one of those for dish soap. I just popped the top off and filled it with dish soap. Then a few weeks later they came out with the kitchen system. lol Unless I get a great deal like people did price matching with Rite Aid I will continue to use the original one for both hand soap and dish soap.

LOL Girl you need to visit YT more than once a week! I posted about that deal last week. You can still get a good deal if you have the target coupon and DG coupon. The kitchen version is worth it for the scent of the orange soap alone. I'm addicted! LOL

Once empty, simply remove the container, drill a 20mm hole in the exact centre of the base (the manufacturer even puts a useful marker there for you!).Clean the edges of the hole & flush out any stray shards of plastic with loads of water. Fill the container with soap then bung the hole with a 20mm semi-blind grommet.I paid about 15p each for the grommets.When the soap is getting low, simply remove the grommet, pour in your soap, replace the grommet - simple, can be done without turning off the unit or removing the container & it takes as long as it takes to pour the soap.

If Lysol would make the bottle look better; without all the printing & crap where you can see it once you put it in the unit, they might be able to get our business selling us refiles for a reasonable price. Who "really" wants to go through all of this to refill it? How about a cheep refill bottle you use to fill classy dispenser that does not have a removable bottle? They could corner the market!
