FYI, I have Cubase so this does not apply. However if you open the file in Audacity which is freeware, it will open as individual multi track files and then you can export as individual files and drag into any DAW.

@@ItzTooSik i'm not familiar with logic pro but like I said if you export them as single tracks and import them into any DAW and logic Pro is one of those.

You can use bigger SD cards you just have to use 3rd party formatting software to force fat32 format I use 128 gb cards this way!

is there any way to do the opposite of it? converting a session from a DAW to sd card and create an external x32 session? i recorded a concert with logic, and I`m teaching teenagers to mix with this session. but I can't be always there with my laptop. So in order to let them practice it would be awesome if I just could drag the session on an sd card and let them do what they need to do...
@RulingNoteMusic Жыл бұрын
Very sorry for the late response! There must be some way to do that in a drag-and-drop fashion somehow. AFAIK tracks can be fed to the X23/M32 via DAW and recorded live to SD, but that's obviously time consuming. I'm going to dig deep and see if there is a way to make this happen and post a video on it as soon as I find a positive answer.

I have the same issue. How can we put a mix down into the single file PCM format? The DN32 seems almost worthless to me at this point.

So if I want to have each song be it’s own “event”….I just start and stop the recording during the live set?
@RulingNoteMusic Жыл бұрын
I'm not positive how that would work out. In order to have a seamless recording I'd avoid that since the time between stopping and resuming recording gets lost, unless that's not a concern. The X32/M32 does have an option to set markers during recording, but I'm not sure how that would translate to DAW import after the fact. I've never done it. My recommendation is to align the files together in post and then separate them with markers or slice them up after.

Thanks for the info! I’ll just do it all post rehearsal or show. 😊

Not sure if youll respond but when I hit record on my M32R on the SD card, only 1 wav file was saved. There should have been 15 separate wav files. Not sure what I am doing wrong because my settings look the same as yours.
@RulingNoteMusic Жыл бұрын
What you have is a single wav file with 16 channels in it. It has to be separated via Studio One or another program that can see and separate the channels to their own wav files. This video goes over how to do it with a 32 channel file but a 16 channel file should use the same method.

What version of Studio One is this done in? I downloaded the latest Studio One and it looks nothing like that and right clicking on the file (after I finally found how to see it) the split to mono is grayed out
@RulingNoteMusic Жыл бұрын
This is done in version 5 Professional. I'm not positive but it may be a feature exclusive to pro version. I'll have to look deeper into it and get back to you on that.

Hello! I'm a videographer that's going to get audio for a show from a M32 board via SD Card. I'm wondering does formatting the SD card as exFat work? Windows 10 does not appear to give me the ability to format it in Fat32. Only exFat. The engineer said Fat32. Will exFat work the same?
