For the tail lights, you might want to consider using red LED in there. Most LED manufacturers actually recommend using the same color LED as the lens in that application.

those value pak lights I tried. they began to fail at around 8-10 months. not completely, just one or two leds at a time. they worked great up til then. so I went with the super bright brand leds. that was three yeas ago. still going strong. for the tail, brake and cab brake lights, I went the Sylvanias. also holding. I actually paid $13 for those little 194's. yeah, overpriced for sure. I did also install them in the camper for the reading lights

I have a 2006 F-350 Super Duty XL and the headlights are sealed beam glass headlamps, not bulbs. I wonder why the difference unless your headlights are aftermarket ones.

amped79 thanks for the video. I initially changed my front turn signals to LED and also installed the resistor. It worked well, however the parking lights never worked (2000 Corolla). Yours is kinda different because the park light and turn signals are separate. My question is if I use a flasher relay I no longer need the resistor for the front right? Bec I am planning to switch my rear turn signals to LED as well.

How did you get the turn signal bulbs up front to be vertical, straight up and down? I installed a set and once locked in they are at an angle.

I swapped to the Sylvania front amber led and ep27l but now it’s have no running lights up front only turn signals and the dash arrows light up with the headlights/park lights turned on?? Did you have this issue? Mine is a 2006 f250 6.0 crew cab

Nows good time to upgrade to led headlights XD if your still running halogens and still driving a bunch your missing out on seeing down the road I have a 2003 mustang with led headlights and low beam is 500X better and aimed right the high beam projects a 1/2 mile to 3/4 mile down the road maybe further with signs

LED conversions word of warning !! in Virginia the state vehicle inspection will not PASS if you have changed out led for tail lites , license & side markers. I found out the hard way .check your state before spending money on lites and time to install.

Still, with new vehicles, the flash rate is controlled by the body control moduele and can be tough to remove the hyperflash issue.

How are those lights working out? now that you have had them on for a while. I looked into doing the same on my 2008 F350. Lordco told me I needed heat syncs on my turn signals and FORD told me "we aren't sure if it will work. There isn't any doubt that what you did is fine but just in case you have had any issues

Suttin Ceidar all of the Sylvania zevo lights have been excellent. The Chinese lights I used have all failed. I have since replaced them with the more expensive Zevo leds. I do not recommend buying the cheap Chinese leds as they will not last. Mine all started to flicker after 4-6 months. No heat sinks (resistors is what Lordco is meaning I think) are required if u update the flasher relay to one designed for LED's like I did. You would only need resistors if you do not change the flasher relay. I will do a followup video on the lights soon.

Great video. But if need be you could use the turn signal flasher. Because LED light's don't require much amperage to operate..

GREG Feeney thanks for the comment. You have to change out the flasher relay for that exact reason. Since the lights don't draw enough amps to make the stock flasher operate you need a relay designed for led lights. If you do not change the relay the lights will not blink.

Hyper flashing isn't necessarily a bad thing as they have been flashing the same speed since the speed limit was 45 to 50 on the interstates. It needs to flash faster because everything moves faster now.

sylvania lights are over priced dim pieces of shit. one of the brightest, reliable lights ive used were Auxito leds found on amazon. been running them in my f450, f350 and f150 (signals, reverse, cab lights and marker lights) for a couple years now. and yet to have one fail.
