Wow. I that is actually pretty neat. Convert your old wall hanger or safe queen into something useful again.

you can make .32 rimfire by using .32 short colt brass drilling it out to use .27 cal nail gun blanks (these are rimfire there loaded with smokeless though so id uncrimp them and dump the powder then cut the crimp off and load blackpowder in it) no need to rechamber it in many countrys converting it to centerfire makes it a modern gun(here in canada a rifle that is centerfire has to be over .326 measured from land to land and made before 1898 to be antique)

I have a little No.4 in .32 rimfire in good shape but no finish left and was wondering whether it would handle the .32 H&R Magnum pressure, otherwise I would re-line it to .22LR as I want to shoot this gun more often but I'm running out of the expensive (and anemic) CBC cartridges I have.
@pacman101827 жыл бұрын
they're black powder guns, so likely no. if you ream it for 32 s&w and load black powder, you'd have a fun little gun.

What to do with this Steven's 25 rimfire though?
@JohnSmith-mg5ve5 жыл бұрын
resleeve it for a 22/22 mag it would need to be drilled out maybe for the sleeve.
@patrickmcwilliams6965 жыл бұрын
With a bit of work, .25 Stevens Rimfire can be made from .17 Winchester Super Mag. A lot simpler than butchering a scarce rifle and trying to reform a centerfire round. As for converting a .32 rimfire, the .32 Short Colt has been discontinued, too, so working with that round will not be feasible. Fortunately, I have a good supply of .32 rimfire, enough to last my lifetime.

Can i convert my 22lr to a 22 magnum?
@couerleroi14 жыл бұрын
No. A LR barrel is too narrow for 22 mag

Just reduced the value of that fairly rare rifle by 50%. If it were a zero original finish, brown or grey gun, then making it a shooter again would be fine. I guess multi-millionaires don't worry about destroying collectors items. Way to go Larry. Why not cold re-blue it while you're at it. Maybe cut the barrel off to 18" and stick on a Chinese scope.
@RockandrollNegro6 жыл бұрын
If it were all-original, you'd have a valid point. But as you can see, it has been modified sight-wise and stock-wise, so re-chambering it into a shootable rifle probably brought up the collector's value.
