For Mujadara it’s Syrian meal you did it in wrong way you should replace rice with groats and for lentils you gotta cover it from beginning and add 4 cubs of water for 2 cubs lentils

Came across this randomly while looking at falafel recipes and as an Arab who grew up with this food, I am very impressed! Most of the recipes were spot-on and authentic. We have fought civil wars over recipe variations, so I'm sure you'll get some complainers. Ignore them and do your thing. We do need to talk about how to pronounce mujadara sometime, but considering how huge this spread was, you should be proud! I'd rather people make and eat our food and pronounce it wrong than not even try it at all. Thank you for sharing!

Yeah I figured he pronounced it wrong because he sound more Italian saying it. And I don't know how to say it so I can not speak. But this is my favorite food to eat. I had foot surgery and as soon as I can get someone to take me I'm going right up the street too bad they aren't on door dash.

Great job!!! Some native tips though!! Skip the garlic in the taboule and replace the green onions with normal onion. Burgul is used to suck the moisture What you did is Moudardara, it’s the moujadara’s cousin! Difference is that the moujadara is blended lentils and less rice The tahini sauce is called Tarator Try putting some pomegranate seeds on the Baba Ghanouj it’s yummy! And for the fatouch try pomegranate molasse on it if available Sahtein! (That’s bon appétit!)

Phenomenal food and you've beautifully provided the ingredient list along with the exact method of cooking. You really did make a FEAST. 12 hours. No doubt. All that chopping would be great with a food processor and save time too. Instead of bulgur (which I also don't like) I sub Quinoa which I do enjoy. Couscous would be another choice for grain. You have created so many dishes of complete protein it's amazing! Israeli way would be Pita with Falafel and fill that Pita with ALL of the other salad you have made except the Mujadara... and THAT'S a Falafel Pita! (Israeli Pita is hollow which, when cut in half makes 2 pockets to fill with your variety of ingredients.) I am THRILLED that I found your channel!! Thanks!!
