Wouldn't it be easier on the fingertips to peel the woody skin off while the spears are still intact? Good prep and presentation! Thanks for the tips.
@CookingwiththeCoias11 ай бұрын
You can definitely do that but just make sure you stop peeling before you get into the softer side👍

This is how we cook our asparagus. So much more tasty than steamed or boiled! We don't break off the ends though. When in Germany my husband bought a utensil specifically for peeling the asparagus ends and it works great, much easier than a knife because it grips the stem. No waste!

Thanks for the video, you taught me something 🥰 I Love asparagus and usually save the ends for broth. Did not know you could shave the woody part away. Will definitely take the time to do this. With my next meal. Thanks again 💜

I love asparagus.. but my husband does not. I have to try this method. My mom always told me to buy the skinniest asparagus as they are the best. Do you find that true? Thanks for the recipe
@CookingwiththeCoias Жыл бұрын
The skinniest ones tend to have less tough ends 👍

You said you had washed them before you cooked them, but you took them out of the sink. 🫣 Was it a mistake or do you normally do that?
@CookingwiththeCoias Жыл бұрын
the sink was 100% clean and what I did was wash them then just let then rest in the sink while I was filming, just to drip off some of the excess water - you can wash them and put them straight on a towel though - no need to put them in the sink :) Hope you give this recipe a try - comes out great all the time
