What??! Why all the hate in the dislikes? This Head Chef is very well known, GR met him and is on good terms. How can people be so ignorant??! (internet kids for you I suppose). Its says 'cook' too, not 'fully prepare'; but it easy, you just crack open the shell and remove the ready meat, whats wrong with people?

You're supposed to kill them humanely. Don't boil them ALIVE!!!

read the post. you'll see why many are up in arms.

So how do you actually eat them? What about the black vein and removing it?
@netweed094 жыл бұрын
Crack the shell and simply remove the tail-meat! And vein of course; it's nothing really, just take care of your hands

Chef in French means leader, chief, first in command. Head chef in a tiny kitchen with barely any equipment? So Mr head of the chefs any one can boil water.

But you're not a famous chef, why would you? But it's good to appreciate the work of a skilful delicacy with this famous chef

It's NOT done in that cruel manner. Wondering why this chef did?
@Mrdsdnt3 жыл бұрын
Probably he is a good chef But, he put piping hot langoustines on cold fresh salad. I mean come on

It's a little bit gross. Langostinos are wonderful! But they live in water, and their water is not 212 degrees F (100 degrees C)! Now imagine... you live in air, imagine if you were plunged into 212 degree air all of a sudden.... can you imagine how that must feel? All of a sudden!
@invisiblekid994 жыл бұрын
Can you imagine how you would feel if you suddenly have no air to breath? Now imagine yourself as a langoustine being pull out of your breathable water. Almost instantly boiled to death or asfixia to death? But they are delicious.

this was the most disturbing to me - is he a professionally trained Chef. His prep of the fish was cruel!

That’s cruel man.

It's repugnant that he cooked them alive.

This video is disturbing on many levels! Firstly, it appears to be a professionally trained chef! And he put live langoustines in scaling water! At best is just stupid and cruel. I'm no professional chef, but I am a true foodie who loves to cook. He should have numbed the shellfish period. He didn't, and posted this video. Unbelievable!

It’s disturbing and unbelievable that someone that calls himself a foodie has never seen how shellfish are cooked. Wait till you see how cow, pig and chicken are turned into beef, pork and poultry! Oh, also check out how live eels are prepared in Japan. That’ll be a treat to watch if you think these langostines were a scandal to you.
