Fred!! 60° sounds perfect! It's supposed to warm up here soon. Yeah man. I started watching that tribute to Dio but ran out of time. Gotta get to work. I like the first dude that was singing. That drummer is a beast! I'll get back to it though. Thanks my brother! ✌🏻🤘🏻🤙🏻👍🏻

Haha, that's why I've been cooking appetizers inside the house, Rob😁 Brats looks delicious! I have that pan, too. Blackstone sells it as a cast iron deep dish pizza pan, but like you, I use it for all kinds of stuff, and that wooden tray that comes with sure comes in handy!✌️

@Mankitchenrecipes its noticed that Kevin. Lol. Can't blame ya. I probably shouldn't have named my channel outdoor cooking! Appreciate you my brother. ✌🏻

Single digits here and you are a trooper. Cooking them on the pellets like and Oven is awesome. I have one of those Blackstone Cast Iron pan its awesome.

@HappyEatsWithDave honestly Dave. That's what I use this pellet smoker for. It's a great outdoor oven. I prefer to smoke meats on my offset tastes so much better. Appreciate you buddy boy.

Awesome. We just got through Enzo winter storm. 18 here tonight. Unusual for South Carolina. Great Cook. Cast iron was an awesome idea. I wonder how it would go straight on the grill. Really like your content Rob!! Keep on grillin.
@PoorGuyOutdoor6 күн бұрын
@Dennisbackyardbbq I think it would be fine indirect at first. I really wanted to see how this pellet grill would work at higher heat in the cold. Thank you my friend.

Minus 5 here in the Great Lake State this morning! I love it! I haven't done my annual winter cook video yet, but this makes a great substitute for it! Looking good, and I trust you that they smell good! Great job!

@PaulieDetmurds yes sir. You might want to wait until it's at least above zero! Maybe an offset cook? Appreciate you my friend.

Haha hey Rob. I was in the same situation couple days ago it was 3 degrees out and we wanted ribeyes so fired up the reqtec. Smoking them was no problem but when I cranked it up to 550 to reverse sear them it took time getting there. Brats look great bud ✌🏼

@J-Banks right Justin. This thing was working real hard to get to 400. It did it though. Appreciate you buddy. ✌🏻

I went out this morning to fire up the smoker, at about 32F here in Phoenix…but it wouldn’t work in the cold. The control screen would flicker then die. I was afraid my 2 year old smoker was dead. When it warmed up to 55F, I tried again, just for kicks, and she fired right up. Might be a Pit Boss problem. Those brats look great!

Oh dang it! My ZGrills was struggling but it pulled through. I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks my friend.
@HappyPlaceCooking6 күн бұрын
I actually eat brats pretty often through the week. I try to stick to a bit lower carb until the weekend. Brats are easy for me to pull one out of the freezer and toss it in the oven and cook it up. Never had them turn out bad yet. I gotta say, though. You might be just a tiny bit crazy to be cooking outside in 20 degree temps lol

Rob how Long did it take to hit 400 do you think. Brats looked good as always. I know my Halo took about an hour to 400 in this cold. Nice job and I like how cool you are in the video👍👍👍

Maybe 30-40 minutes. I was surprised how well it did actually. It was working hard though. It was colder when you tried yours I think. Thanks buddy.
