A woman truly becomes a mother when she takes on another child be that blood or not as her own. When she sings to them as they fall asleep, when she puts a plaster on their cut knee, feeds them, holds them when they cry, helps them with their homework and helps them solve their problems. A mother doesn't need to birth a child. She must be there for ones that need her. Having full faith in them and willing to give her life for such a youth they promised to protect. Edit: btw not disrespecting the birth mother of those children, I'm just saying the aunts a good person and shouldn't underestimate yourself just because she didn't give birth to the children she cares for deeply. Also my comment was of my own writing and not copied from Google like some idiot decided to comment without actually looking up anything.
@Natalie-hl5xk6 жыл бұрын
stx btx they technically are the mother/father if they take care of that child and makes their life a good life even if they aren't blood related. Family is not always blood related. I'm not trying to be rude I am just putting my point out there

For the breakfast, she even SAID it was unhealthy but that the idea isn't for everyday, just a treat to make the kid happy. She doesn't expect them to be made every single morning; for a kid's birthday, a treat maybe after the kid does well in a school year, etc. Secondly, yes some people were forced to eat whatever they were asked. But some people like to find ways other than force to get their kids to eat things. Because sometimes, it just doesn't work to force kids to eat things; especially if you have multiple children. There isn't necessarily one way to parent, and some kids don't respond well to force. I was a kid who was forced to eat whatever dinner was being served to me; however, my parents also were aware of what I did and did not like and tried to incorporate those things in different ways because they didn't want me to be MISERABLE growing up! Again, these are just simple IDEAS she is posing. A lot of this is also based off of the every day household income, particularly things that lower-income families can do for multiple people. Fresh produce can get really pricey, so when they are incorporating fresh fruits or vegetables, it won't go to waste with children turning their noses up at broccoli. They won't ever see it tucked away inside a burger!
@aim-to-misbehave56746 жыл бұрын
Forcing children to eat also fosters a very unhealthy relationship with food that can lead to eating disorders in the future. Things like being forced to clear your plate even if you hate the food and are gagging while eating leads to you not learning how to moderate your food intake, which can trigger binge eating disorders. It can also do a 180 and lead to someone who never had any control over their food growing up flip the other way once they're a teenager or adult, and instead exert too much control over their food and food intake, which can trigger anorexia nervosa or bulimia.
@shroomerie31966 жыл бұрын
aim-to-misbehave yes, forcing your kids to eat things I'd definitely a no-no to me, it's best to get them used to food and figure out what they like and dislike, while still making sure they're eating healthy, that seems like something which caters to a kids and parents needs and wants...

I would KILL to have lunches like these. All I got was a squashed cheese sandwich and dry carrots Edit: I wasn't trying to be ungrateful, thank you all for the feedback. Edit 2: so I have appeared to have caused a war in the replies section... I am not ungrateful and I don't think that comparing your stories, although they are valid, to my lunch makes my lunch seem any better. I am thankful that I live the life that I do and can get a lunch but I don't think that leaving angry comments is going to change what lunch I received.
