Hi everyone and welcome to Omamakase ☺️
In continuation of the previous Mapo Tofu video which was inspired by Culinary Class Wars / Netflix, our family was also curious about the Mala Cream Shrimp Dim Sum. That led me to make the crunchy shrimp dim sum for this video. We’re not used to the spicy mala sauce so we used the sriracha mayo instead which went perfectly with the shrimp dim sum.
It came out much better than I expected. Again, my family loved them since the shrimp dim sums came out so crunchy with the super thin spring roll wrapper slices. I really hope you will try making this for your friends and family. I’m very confident that they will enjoy it!!
Ingredients:
Spring roll wrappers: 8-10 sheets
Deveined shrimp : 10-15
Salt: 1/4 tsp
White pepper: 1/4 tsp
Olive oil : 1T
Sesame oil : 1T
Lotus root: 7-8 thin slices
Corn starch: 1T
Deep frying oil
Sriracha mayo

Thank you for watching! 🩷 You should definitely try making it. I’ve never made this before watching the show but it was actually easier than I thought. As long as you cut the spring roll wrapper as thin as possible and keep the oil temperature not too high, it should come out crunchy and delicious. 😋

Thank you for watching! You can always substitute lotus roots with Dynasty sliced bamboo shoots or Dynasty sliced water chestnuts in small cans. Those should be available at most of the markets.

Thank you for watching! 🩷 I’m sorry to hear that…😥 You should maybe try making it with ground pork and just make sure to cook it long enough at low heat since it might take longer to cook fully than shrimp.

You could try to make it with chicken breast. Yet, add mayo into the paste for juicier.

What is still unclear is that in every post about this delicious recipe, there is no further mention of how much ground Pork to add to the Shrimp Mixture. Although Ground Pork was mentioned on the Culinary Class Wars show when this dish was introduced. Does anyone have more info on adding the ground Pork, how much,etc?

Maybe I totally missed that part but I wasn’t aware of them adding ground pork to the shrimp ball. If you want to, you can always use 50/50 of ground pork and shrimp or adjust the ratio according to your preference. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching my video. ☺️

There's no ground pork in recipe ,, just gred A pork fat +green onion .. No cream/milk but mayo , lemon ,tabasco etc The chef reveal the recipe on tv
