Bit confused. 1kg. Bring to boil. Add pearls (is the stove still on at this point while stir until they float to the top? Or is the pot off? Once float. We bring to boil. We leave on stove lid on wait 45? Is that it or is there one more 45 because I saw the caption saying 30-45 mins twice in the video. And is the sugar absolutely necessary for it to keep in fridge? Are the pearls brand without it? Can I use maple syrup or Chinese rock sugar? Vs white sugar?

You say add the pearls to the boiling water, stir and then bring to a boil again?? I thought you said to stir while it was boiling. You never said to turn it down while stiring. Confusing.
@foodbizph
@foodbizph 3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry for the confusion. I was not able to explain in the video that once you add the tapioca pearls into boiling water, the boiling point automatically decreases. As we all know, this happens whenever we put something in boiling water. As it cools the water down to below the boiling point. As the heat is still on, the water soon starts to boil again. That is what I meant when I said "Bring it to a boil again" (big bubbles) in the video.🙂

What does yours look like. Cuz mine came black and it’s covered in white and I told CSR it was moldy and got refunded but now I see it’s suppose maybe to be covered in powder?? But my pearls are black. To start. Not tan colored.

For cooked tapioca pearls, it is advisable to consume it within the day. For uncooked pearls, you can put it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Hope this helps.. thank you for watching 🙂

Thank you so much for watching my video.. It is actually best to consume the cooked boba pearls within the day. They should not be stored in the fridge as the pearls will lose their chewiness and will also become hard..🙂

So I bought 2kg of vacuum sealed boba pearls to use for a long time, once I open the packaging, can I put the rest in the freezer until I want to use some again? I'm only one person so I won't finish 2kg of boba pearls alone in 3 days 😭

Hi, sorry, but I haven't tried putting an opened bag of boba pearls in the freezer. However, I know that once you open the sealed bag, it should be used within a week, as long as it is stored in an airtight container. Hope this helps. Thanks!😊

@@foodbizph Thanks! I've seen in other videos that you can cook them and freeze the cooled pearls in the sugar syrup, and then re-boil or microwave as needed, would that work?

@zjdbt 3 жыл бұрын
I always Cook the pearls for like 25 min and then take it of the fire pit and let it rest for 30 min because it wil be much more chewy and coocked inside the pearls and then put it in the colander wash it with cold water or you can put it in ice water let it cool down for few min ur welcomeee
