@@lifeokay5915 seems there is a instruction discrepancy. For the second boil do you bring the water to boil then add back the half cooked pearls or do you put them in room temp water and bring to boil? If you put them in first, then it will be much longer than 12 minutes.

Hi! Not sure if the issue is the brand I bought but when I add the tapioca pearls and start stirring it all becomes like glue and is mushy. Is that normal? Yours look loose and easy to stir

you probably just put the sago in when the water wasn't hot enough/boiling but i will have to try it first im assuming it's the same as boba because one time i didn't make the water hot enough and it disolved ;-; good luck! :-)

Are you making sure to add the pearls once the water is already boiling? Adding the pearls to the water before it’s boiling can cause them to dissolve into the water!

Hi Kay, what brand do you use?
@lifeokay59152 жыл бұрын
Hello Martha, apologies for taking a while to respond to your query. I use any brand, whichever is available in the nearest stores. What I currently have in my pantry now is "Aling Conching" from the Philippines. I am living in Dubai, UAE, so happy to have Filipino products everywhere. Pearls from Thailand are great options, too. Happy cooking! 🤩

In short, almost an hour?
@lifeokay5915 Жыл бұрын
Hi, Mr. Abraham. Great to know that you have noticed my video. As shown in the video, it may depend. Like for us, we would cook the pearls halfway if we are gonna put them in hot desserts e.g. bilo-bilo. And if for cold desserts like buko pandan, we need to fully cook them. Cooking may take 10-12mins only per stage though additional 10-12mins are required to soak them further. I used to cook them for a long time, like an hour, waiting for the white middles to turn translucent. Kindly share your way of cooking them, we would love to know. Good day!

Tapioca and sago are made of manioc, witch is a root, so they are almost the same thing
@gulgadiel Жыл бұрын
@@pedrolucas-ih6xmThey are similar in texture but sago is not made from manioc. Sago is extracted from the pith of certain palm varieties. Sago is slightly more expensive than tapioca but some traders sell tapioca labelled as sago.
