Great video! I just landed my first corks 360 few days ago with the help of this video. To help others I would add some comments. 1. It s indeed very personal, so do not hesitate to try different ways to cork your 360. 2. Drop your left hand in the kicker while being on the edges, and push your right hand up in the air when your are launching the move. It helped me to be more stabilized in the air. I turn left by the way. 3. Indeed as said by Luka, do not rush it. But also do not rush it in a way that it takes time to learn that trick. Go progressivly, 1st try will be a 360, second will be a little bit on the side, 3rd try a bit more, etc. Repeat any attempt and keep in mind that even not successfull attempts give you more confidence, and therefore, you are closer and closer to land it!

Also, I think being able to do a nice, carved 180 is a really good trick to learn before trying a corked 3. You can get comfortable with the concept of carving into a jump and spinning but I feel it's a much easier trick since that last 180 is so different from anything else most skiers have experienced when they're learning corked spins

Hi Jens what would you say would be the easiest cork to learn first. And what tricks should you have in your bag before trying it
@PABodycam6 жыл бұрын
LewisBallantyneSki Really depends. Cork 3's are easy sometimes... You can either really set them and flip or just try and dip as much as you can. I found cork 3's are probably the least scary cork so far. If you can do solid 540's and are able to do 720's I would recommend doing cork 720's. Practice on trampoline if you know how to do them. Get them very very solid on trampoline and don't rush doing them on skis. Make sure you know your vision and grabs (if you want) on tramp first. Find a jump in the park that is medium size so you have enough time to really see the rotation. It's scary but I find actually setting the trick is easier then just dipping. It really depends what you are comfortable with. Don't really go into switch corks as they have a lot more technicality. Hope that helps. Ask anymore questions

Compared to a flat spin on the same jump where you would project yourself forward, in a cork spin are you also jumping the same amount forward (off the lip) or does the cork rotation carry you to the proper angle for the downslope landing? Your corks are so smooth!!!
@PABodycam6 жыл бұрын
wowscool Flatspins are a backwards set trick. They are an off axis backflip. Cork 3's are much different. You do not need to set the flip almost at all. If you have forward shin pressure and dip the cork properly the landing will come smooth. Leaning to far back of the lip can result in you landing backseat. Try just finding a nice comfortable jump 15-25 foot is nice and just dip and grab safety Wich brings your feet up. It has he said is really a trick you need to feel out.

Whats the differnce between cork 3 and a normal 360?
@TomiLynch6 жыл бұрын
Adrian On a normal 3 the skis are horizontal the whole time and your body is vertical. On a cork 3 your body tends to get horizontal and your skis vertical at a moment. The idea of hitting a wall is a good way to visualize it.

@mint47785 жыл бұрын
Nope. In a flip360 you go upside down in the middle (like doing a flip with a 360 in the middle) in a cork you never go straight upside down just tilt a bit

Should I know how to cork 7 first? Or should I learn the cork 3 first? Already can easily do cork 7s on trampolines
@PABodycam6 жыл бұрын
Emac cork 7's and cork 3's really don't have to much in common. I found really just trying cork 3's on a comfortable jump is the best way to do them. Start out doing straight 3's with forward shin pressure carving. Make sure your jump is big enough to feel the rotation though it really helps. Then try and dip the 3 right of the lip just barely and maybe grab safety Wich helps bring your foot up and gets you more corked. It really really depends how you do them. But no you don't need any other corks to learn these. It will help to be able to backflip and be solid on your spins first.
@emac62166 жыл бұрын
Erik Cislo Okay sweet thanks. Yea I got backflips dialed in. Im gonna send it 🤙🏽
@PABodycam6 жыл бұрын
Emac Awesome. Remember the forward shin pressure and the small dip. It's not a send trick as much as kinda getting the hang of it. Make sure to not over do it on your first one as this will scare you. Take it slow and get videos of it to help you see what you are doing in the air. Hope you can get them
@StompItTutorials6 жыл бұрын
You got some good advice already. So I leave that. But here some thoughts Cork 3 is easy for some people but for some really hard. For me it´s easier to do a cork 9 than 3. I better at hucking then chilling with feeling doing the cork 3.
@PABodycam6 жыл бұрын
Stomp It Tutorials Yes exactly my thoughts and how I like to do tricks. It's good to learn both ways, hucking and feeling.
