***** Dear brother/sister, I would recommend that you read and study about how the Hadiths were collected and classified. There were Hadiths that were written down during the life of the Prophet, Peace be upon Him. We cannot outright reject all Hadiths unconditionally, otherwise, how do we know how to pray for instance?

Just a reminder: When Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was travelling on the road with his cousin, Al-Fadl ibn Abbas, a woman stopped him to ask him a question. The woman was very beautiful, and Al-Fadl couldn’t help but stare at her. Seeing this, Prophet Muhammad reached out his hand and turned his cousin’s face away. He didn’t tell the woman to cover her face. He didn’t tell her to change her clothing. He didn’t tell her that her appearance was too tempting or indecent. He averted his cousin’s impolite stare.

Nazifa Haque but also our hadith's states that women should cover themselves and not wear such objects that might attract men.

The general statement is about correcting each other, don't make it a thing only about women being corrected by men.

It goes both ways of course. Women and men must wear appropriate clothing, women and men must not stare at each other and make the other feel uncomfortable. So this is what I love about Islam.

hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel I would be respectful of the traditions. I know that historically the 3 great monotheistic religions are related to each other. To be honest I could not hear that last portion clearly enough to understand exactly the difference, but it appeared to say that the Quran was more heavenly while the Gospel of Luke was more earthly For me it is not a question of which version I would give to anyone but which one my Faith has declared to be from God. I have long known that the Quran gives great esteem to teh Blessed Mother. Perhaps since we fight so often about the nature of God, the Mother of the Living can be a point of mutual respect if not mutual agreement.

Attraction for alot of women is their power. not paying attention to them is depriving of them of power. No one likes to have their power taken away. And men should know they can't overcome their love of women, but they can avoid them... lesson here is, things you can't overcome, avoid. Thats a type of freedom for men.
@karinasmith22148 жыл бұрын
Just love women, and fall under their spell. Your God made them attractive for you, men, to enjoy that, not to be ashamed of being attracted to women. Or...perhaps your God was wrong when He made women different from men?

huh? attraction for women is their power??? Am I supposed to feel good about that? You wanna tell me that the only way a woman can be valuable is when she attracts the opposite sex?!?! You wanna tell me that the source of women's power can't be her education, her intellect, her family, her morals and attitudes?? So you wanna tell me that I am powerful when I show off skin and talk dirty to get attention?!!! You wanna tell me there aren't any decent men out there who can't see more in a woman than her body?!! *facepalm*
@moon_lighttlove8 жыл бұрын
Jan Jorissen I assume you mean an education, intellect, and good morals? If she has all of that, then why on Earth would she need to show off her body to gain a man's attention, when she can gain his respect and love by just being herself!

Cosmetic therapy. Some women feel better wearing a lot of makeup. Others less. Others none. It depends on each woman. If makeup helps to improve their mood, leave them alone...go to work, contribute to the country, and stop wasting your time telling women what o do
@mizbaulislam2508 жыл бұрын
sister i agree with you there is a hadith of our rasool sw saying minding our own business is part of our iman. but the video explains only in the extreme cases. we are supposed to lower our gaze but when it comes to urgency such as in office. a light or subtle lipstick would help me not to get attracted towards you every time i look at you. i blv in not interfering in others' business. even i don't care if someone is wearing bikini in their office. but still i admit we are men no matter what we love women mostly :p women are our weakness so we are just limiting our desire only sharing it with our wife. its just sometimes if someone thinks from our point of view it would be really helpful. i hope you understand.
@yasminy.72438 жыл бұрын
+mizbaul islam I can understand that it's hard not to look at attractive women. I mean I'm a women and I am always excited how gorgeous some women are and I would like to look at them all day (no homo). But I think that men should train themselves and lower their gaze no matter how attractive a woman is because attractive women are everywhere and it will never change, it's a test for you like it's a test for us to cover us. Some people have to understand that some women can't go out without make-up because they have no self-confidence. It can be really hard for us women it's a daily fight...
@chocolatecake57565 жыл бұрын
the question asked was how do you politely tell a women if she is wearing too much makeup nobody said they can't wear makeup or men are telling them not to its just a friendly suggestion that perhaps its a little too much but its still your choice suggesting and ordering are very different

the only thing that bothers me is this, why r the men judging the sisters uncontrollably and think they r right when they themselves themselves can't even keep the dress code of a Muslim man...u have a sister who lets say might have lipstick on but the brother putting her down is one who is wearing shorts, flip flops and tank tops???? my thing is this please work on yourselves and stop worrying about other peoples sisters and mothers or daughters. worry about your own. if your own is good than mind your business. ppl that judge other ppl r no better. I wish everyone would mind their own it would be a better world. if its not lipstick it'll be the color of her hijab, if not that it'll be she speaks or etc... ppl will never be happy with u no matter what... so work on yourselves first.

+All Islamic There's two ways of saying truth to person, good way, to let him know his mistakes so he will so it and became better, or judge to higher self estimate.
@southviewarab8 жыл бұрын
Even if satan himself told me that I needed to work on my Islam I wouldn't be offended but rather embrace what he has to say. People who think like that usually have kibr. Don't let the fact that just because someone is a "much worse person" than you stop you from improving. A pure heart would accept that advice with open arms because their only concern is to be closer to Allah no matter the cost. I'm not a perfect Muslim myself, and I have a billion things to fix, but even if a kafir tells me that I have committed a sin according to Islam I'd thank him for the reminder I wouldn't let my kibr of thinking "this guy doesn't even believe in my god so why is he here preaching to me all high and mighty when he is going to hell" you're right that judging others shouldn't be someone's priority and that they should have a self check before... But the reality is, it is our duty as Muslims to remind one another and keep eachother well informed and teach eachother and be open with one another about Islam, so even if I give you an advice and you reject it it is my duty to accept that rejection because I've done my duty, the rest falls squarely on you. Afterall, the only reason why someone would give you advice like that is if they truly cared for you, never forget that.

I'm a muslim girl, so this is not intended as an offense, but men...can actually wear tank tops and shorts. In Islam, they are only required to cover from their waist to they knees. Any more is considered as more better, but they don't HAVE to do it. *shrug*

Maybe. Instead of so strongly making distinctions between Muslim, sister, non Muslim etc.... a true man of God would be staunch in suggesting that as humans first and foremost we relate to each other as fellow humans. Speaking to your fellow human being (the human race is the race we all belong to) negates the need to alter your style to suit speaking to a man/woman/Muslim etc....

I have seen men show anger to women who are attractively dressed and that may be because they might think those women are trying to drive their attention away from their wives. actually such women are a negative externality because their actions negatively affect other people (namely a man's marriage, wives) even when the woman's intentions may not be bad. and while one might say that women have freedom to dress as they like, still whenever one's actions negatively affect a bystander (such as a smoker) then it's an obligation on the government to stop it. which is why a court ib USA allowed a dentist to fire his assistant from work on the basis that her continued work at that place would break the dentist's marriage.
@LightieeT6 жыл бұрын
Regardless of others actions god has given all of us free will. Your choices are your own and your sins are your own. God has given all of us the strength to overcome temptation, you cannot say that someone else’s actions are the reason you broke a covenant with the Lord (such as marriage)

Non muslim women don't understand that when a muslim man doesn't look at them, they feel disrespected when actually it is vice versa. The men don't look at you out of selfrespect and respect for you and loved ones. This is a beautiful thing about Islam Also I love how everyone starts with saying peace It might be a better world if everyone would say salam aleikum to eachother

How can men tell muslim women how to look and dress, when they are commanded to lower their gaze? I may have too much lipstick, but brother how did you see it? You looked right? The greatest of the sin is on u!
@ibn-khaldun-al-hadrami9 жыл бұрын
Zelda Xtina not really? the first glance is not haram because you can't prevent it. And you can easily tell if someone is wearing too much lipstick even if it's just for a split second.

@ibn-khaldun-al-hadrami9 жыл бұрын
Janicijevic_a Doubt it, you can tell when lipstick is too much. Female or male walks in the room and you see them walk it, a significant amount of red on her face would be pretty dead obvious.
@azmo959 жыл бұрын
the red would be obvious. The amount, in my personal opinion, would not be.

Janicijevic_a "Amount" is arbitrary, color is the point. You can say the lipstick is too red and it could still mean that the lipstick is really red.
