Smear a thin line of antiseize all the way around the gear and a full-width line at one tooth. Simple.

Yep, thats a good one too. Whatever gives certainty on Tooth #1 repeat is what you are after

Or... mark one tooth, then set a divider to 10 teeth and step around the gear with the divider. No paper.

Well that was a complete waste of everyone's time. There's a half dozen better, less complicated ways of doing this. And They make hi-spot prussian blue for a reason btw.
