Have you figured out other ways to counter super aggressive players in Tarkov?
@br0leg2744 жыл бұрын
One way that helps me, is using the vog25 thrown into the walkpath. Creating distance strictly, not just a short sprint, a complete retreat with a new postion on theier extracting route. Other thing that works pretty solid for me is fighting back hard. Who sprints and jumps didn't got the weapon up.

Push them first and take advantage of that peekers advantage
@susp3kt1124 жыл бұрын
So imma put some stuff here for people that are interested. 1. If someone quick peaks. Don't just start mag-dumping. They will back off and let you run out of ammo if they are smart, do a quick spray as they peak and then start pre-firing at head level. If you can, move while you pre-fire to a better position if you have one, that way the info they gained from quick peeking becomes null and they have to rely on sound, which can be covered up by the suppressing fire you are putting down. 2. If you have a weapon with very slow fire rate, or a short magazine. Quick taps can do the same work as mag-dumping, not as well, but it will definitely make them think twice. 3. If they quick peek, you pre-fire, and if they don't push. Pre-fire again. If they still don't push they are waiting for a reload, throwing a grenade, or backing off. Throw a grenade if you have one and reload, or back off. Do not reload, that is guaranteed death.

This is obvious and doesn't fix the underlying problem which is: Giga-chads shouldn't be able to do a big sprint and still have 100% the accurate. Why the fuck does my leg being blacked make my gun sway, but him sprinting around in full gear doesn't make him any amount of inaccurate? Fucking stupidass POINT FIRE/HIP FIRE bullfuck system. This is why I don't play anymore. I'm always going to lose against people who have a monitor dot to allow them to hipfire 100% the accurate.
@Crittek3 жыл бұрын
@@Corewarp Point-firing isn't 100% accurate in this game. You sway in a quite exaggerated left to right motion all the time. When you strafe back and forth its the same motion but much more aggressive. Using a laser to show where your barrel is pointed makes it a lot easier though. If you mean a system like most games where your gun is inexplicably inaccurate when not aiming then you probably did the right thing by quitting because that won't ever change.

I had an instance of being the guy who did the peeking on siege tonight that sort of reminded me of this. I did a quick shoulder peek and saw where the fire was coming from as I ducked back, but instead of repeeking I decided to hunker down and just calmly counted to three in my head. Sure enough, the other person stopped firing, giving me plenty of time to line up a shot along their bullet trace and score the headshot when I repeeked. I think they were confident I was going to do this type of repeek, and when I didn't it broke their OODA loop and forced them to reset long enough to give me an advantage. Your first clip showed what happens when they're successful in resetting your OODA loop, and your second clip showed what happens when you beat their OODA loop. One thing I utilize a lot in gunfights on reserve, in tight corridors, is hold a very tight angle right next to the door. When they rush you take the first shots ads'd then back up(not strafing) while lowering your gun. It makes it a lot easier to track a moving target and if you land shots as they push your door theyre too weak to take the rest of your hipfire shots. I like to hold the angle out of the door at about 45' and having a short gun helps a lot. Its an aggressive play that a lot of chads doing info sprints like this wont expect unless you make noise at the door, the best defense is a great offense!

the best counter to this is defenetly a fix on the game/servers by battlestate. That aside, what you explained is most likely the only solution atm(outside of just backing away when possible),the only problem with it is that i just won't work everytime, some times you die before you can even see him peek the corner , some other , while he's peeking or somtimes it works like in your video. most of the times you die no matter what you try to do, i die so many times while the guy just started to peek or while he's still behind cover, i've seen it happen to a lot of people other than my group as well and this is probably the only fps out there where the peeker has the advantage over who is holding the angle, wich really doesn't make sense . Great video as always tho . love your content
@H4FJ4 жыл бұрын
This is no criticism, simply an observation based on my experience in playing many shooters. The "method" or counter strategy that's highlighted here is something that is applicable to most FPS games, really. I myself am a Counter Strike player, and this sort of response comes natural to me at this point. The baiting, cat and mouse game of someone jiggle peeking and you trying to figure the correct counterplay out. I think it is important to note that regardless of your course of action, if you are stuck in a position where someone can jiggle peek you, you should be losing that fight. That's just the simple truth. More often than not, you should be losing that fight if you are equal skill. Peekers advantage is a thing in every (online) game, and its incredibly bad in EFT. If that guy is good, he does not need to swing out like mad as you see these dudes doing. Now, don't get me wrong, this also has to do with the way EFT works (with people being much tankier compared to say CS, where one AK headshot will kill anyone at any range regardless), but the principle still holds. As long as you are using good ammo, headshots will likely kill. If you have very good aim, you should be capable of jiggle peeking again AND firing a few rounds. If those rounds hit the head of the other player, its over before he can even react. This is of course where the prefire comes in; except, they have all the initiative and you have none if you are being jiggled. If he's smart, he does it more than once, and you are pumping rounds into that wall like there is no tomorrow. At that point it's a guessing game, which can be incredibly fun or frustrating depending on how good you are at playing it. I won't go and say that people should start playing CS to learn how to play EFT better, but I do think it will help you significantly if you try playing other FPS games, specifically ones that offer a high volume of firefights in a relatively short timespan. Practice your aim, practice the jiggle game. There are also cool practice tools out there, such as "Aim Lab" on Steam. It should be free, and there is loads of different types of aim practice you can do on those. While EFT is mostly about other things than aim, if you do end up in a fight it'll go a long way if you spent more time clicking a crosshair at heads than they ever did!

@thepunisher99284 жыл бұрын
Alright big tip of the day: Change your key bind for scope magnification and switching scopes to ctrl + W, and ctrl + D, respectively. I find the mouse button one doesn’t work for me because I changed the default setting to toggle ADS to “hold” where essentially I am continuously holding the RMB if I am aiming. Might be a habit from playing on console, but I hated the toggle for aiming in Tarkov’s defaults. Since I got the game I’ve been using a single press for the up and right arrow key to achieve the same effect, but that usually means I have to look down to get my hand placement correct. Again it might not be helpful if you do toggle your ADS, but the issue is for me I would need to scope out, and then hold ctrl and then click RMB, let go, and then hold RMB to aim with the scope setting I wanted to switch too. It sucks for sniping cause you will lose your target and yeah... hope this helps someone

2 things give you the upper hand in these situations. First off, crosshair placement. Place it headheight and have some leeway for your reaction time. Don't hold it that close to the corner. Secondly, the further away you are from the object that is between you and your opponent, the sooner you will see him. Meaning if you are far away from that object and he is standing against it, you will see him considerably faster than he will see you.

the situations are not comparable at all, the is exact reason why the first guy had so much advantage and in second clip you were in immediate advantage instead. In corridor he car run past the door backwards and forwards and his peaks and baits most of the times will be faster than your reaction time + peakers advantage. You stuck in the room and he can nade rape you all day long - so you need to get out of the room as fast as possible and you were kind of dead there from begging. Maybe trying to nade corridor was an option, but he can always retreat whereas you can't. Second situation is polar opposite - you have absolute advantage, you can retreat, you can change your position etc. the guy peaking the corner is almost had no chances, because he cannot jump the gap and bait you, he can only run to the middle of the gap and the run back meaning there will be second where he needs to stop, for you is easy to predict as opening is on only once side, his option is only to push right into you or turn around. By this time you have plenty of time to get your point of aim and shoot. First guy has re-peaked because he aggressive and skilled (and geared), the second guy re-peaked because he made mistake and got right into your bullets and he wasn't even geared enough to tank it. Yes the similarity is the pre-shooting, but in first situation the guy controlled situation of where and when he peaks, in second situation the guy could only peak from one side and you could easily predict from where. He wasn't stuck like you, so he it wasn't necessary for him to push making his situation little bit better than yours in the first clip, but he did it anyway and got clapped. So no - there is nothing to be learned, first situation - you died because the other guy was good and you were in bad positions, second situation you win because other guy was either bad or made mistake.

Good glorious ammunition and unmodded AK. Yeah. A little bit of good aim and full auto should do the trick.

IMO - they need to remove the bunny hopping and uber fast sprinting. The more you weigh, the slower you run unless you have the mule stim... these strength/endurance buffs for the no-lifers is getting a little old

How dare you! The no-lifers are THE core of the Tarkov community! Don't you know anything?! Every game design decision is intended to make the life of the CHAD better, fuck everyone else lol

they already removed bh once but gave it back because of some bug. + they gonna implement some inertia to movement so fast picks won't be possible like now
