That looks really nice! I've got a 1980 Yamaha XS250 which I've had half restored for about 20 years and the biggest hurdle was the rusted seat pan. The foam is fine and I've only just realised I could make a fibreglass pan for it. So easy!

An excellent guide to use on your machine, is to get 2 super magnets, and glue them on a narrow type, short length of aluminum angle. It's sticks very well on that cast iron base of the machine

If you think that contact adhesive with toluene, it'll spray easier. In cooler temperatures use MEK methyl ethyl keytone. We use that same basic adhesive on airplanes a lot. It's a 3M product called 1300-L. It's great for holding pneumatic deice boots on leading edges of airplanes.

Back to normal ..Brekkie n Dan ..lol. Absolutely Brill vid this week with a bit of foresight and planning ahead you have shown the simpler designs are possible if you want to try and have the tools. Glad you used a normal sewing machine but a thicker thread, did it fit the needle ok as some needles have small holes..was the cloth backing anything special or just a piece to suit the size required , Like the finished rack and the eyelet idea beats using a nut and having to round it off after its definitely coming together . Also that air sander is now earning it's worth are you gonna put it down at some point or just keep inventing uses for it lol.. Great vid as always Dan thanks
