OMG!!! I really admire your work, your style, and the way you expose your works on Instagram. Every so often I put your name in the youtube search engine to see if any video appeared and nothing ... and today I finally see this video from a month ago. I know it is a lot of work to make videos, edit them, etc., etc., but ... you cannot imagine how I have enjoyed it, and I really hope you can keep doing them. Thank you very much, Irena!!! 😁💜

Hi! I'm so so happy to see you on KZbin! 😁 What is it that you're putting on the bottom layer? That particular acrylic paint you listed in White? I find it much more helpful when artists do tutorials without just having music in the background, especially speed colourings because sometimes it's a bit hard to see everything they're doing and also, I find it much easier to understand if the artist explains exactly what they're doing and why. And although your notes at the side are immensely helpful, if you only music playing, you can't multitask and have the tutorial on in the background whilst you're colouring/doing swatches etc. You have to actually stop everything you're doing and watch the entire video (I know this one is not long). And although that's okay if you've already sat down and watched the video at least once, but if I find a really especially helpful tutorial, I'll watch it, save it to a playlist and then I'll have it on in the background when I'm colouring to really... imprint upon me/remind me about particular techniques. Also because sometimes I'll actually forget about a very useful technique! 😄 I have certain videos that I have playing in the background whilst colouring - and play them up to 7 or 8 times. Oh! But not 7 times in a row, I mean 7 or more different times, if it's an especially helpful tutorial. But!☝️ I am SOOOOO pleased that you're actually on KZbin at all, so that was just one thing. I absolutely LOVE your artwork! It is SO unique! ♥️ from Australia 🇦🇺

May I ask what brand of watercolor you use or can you recommend a decent set for someone at beginning level? I am not happy with my set I have now. Also thinking maybe of working with gouache instead due to paper issues in alot of books. Have you worked with gouache and if so what did you think? Thank you. Looking forward to more of your postings on yt or IG.
@blackaneri3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🥰 I mainly use White Nights or Van Gogh watercolors, but not very often in coloring books, unless it's small part. I prefer watercolor pencils cause it's easier to control them. I still use the set I bought when I started - Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz or any Faber castell, but I will switch to Derwent Inktense cause of better quality. Of course, you can try with gouache. I've never tried them because I prefer the look of watercolors and acrylic is useful for me, but gouache might be good for you. Some colorists said to me they are using gouache and some say that it's not working for them. So, maybe try white one and see how it works for you 🥰
