Absolutely great advise cleaning, sanding and prepping the parts...But ya forgot the back where you fold it over! lol ;) I didn't think of cutting the material diagonally so we can be able to stretch it... I have some lower trim on my Lincoln that has a leather texture but its just hard plastic, I want to sand the molding marks out of the parts and cover them with a nice padded vinyl to match the leather as close as I can, then all the trim that is covered in fabric I want to do in black suede, I also want to cover the dash and instrument cluster surround in black suede as well. I'm subbing, My wife and I have a big job ahead of us if we're gonna make whats in my head happen on the car!

The glue on the bench is dry when it comes into contact with the good side of the fabric so will not stick.

Hi, this is a fantastic and informative video. I would like to do the upper dash in my VW T5, I assume i need to remove the whole dashboard. have you done this and if so could you give me some advise please? I haven't found a video on this on KZbin yet.

yes you will have to remove the whole dash. make sure that you prep the dash before doing any gluing. And an extra pair of hands may be helpful. Also cut the material that you will be using oversize, you can always trim of the excess later

it depends what you are glueing and what you are glueing it to, there isn't one glue that will do everything

Use a very small hole punch to cut holes in the fabric and start the gluing process over the vents
