@Techolyptic I do. But you need them at first to line up the two tracks.

thanks, your better than that other video. I got the Attack of the movies 3d glasses and they seem to work pritty good. now, isn't their away so the video won't be blue, if not, I'm good with that, the bad thing is that I on'y have one camra and 2 snapshot camras, will the snapshot camras work.

@atomictrain513 Ah, those are polarized 3D glasses, and the tech hasn't exactly been made available to the public. It has to do with certain beams of light passing through one way while the others pass perpendicular to them. I'm not sure what you mean by making an object bulge, but if you're talking about making an object swell out of the screen, for this style of 3D to work, they have to physically press out toward the cameras.
@fatsheamus13 жыл бұрын
@FloorZeroStudios The way we view the contents of a game is through the eyes of a "virtual camera" for lack of a better term. It is programmed to see everything from a certain perspective. So when they make it 3D, they composite two perspectives together, just like sticking two cameras together. There are entire books on the subject. Pick one up.

Oh man, very useful and very clear tutorial! You're brilliant mate! I am not really after doing 3D videos but if I want to, I'll take your tutorial here to do it! Cheers mate, great stuff

this doesn't work with polarize glasses?

Try switching which eyes the blue and red are covering. You are using red/blue glasses right?

Great tutorial. Although I don't have 2 cameras atm, I'm definitely gonna put this to use :D

How would you create a 3D effect that corresponds to that of the current 3D glasses being used in the cinema? Also, how would you manage to make an object bulge, somewhat?
@ratuse12 жыл бұрын
Heheh. Thanks. The blue is pretty extreme in mine because the sunlight coming in was filtered by a blue curtain which was only enhanced by the effect. Another method is to do the purple/green glasses. Then everything ends up slightly purple. lol The two other cameras you mentioned may work, as long as the resolution is exactly the same on them. Try it out and see how it goes.

@probillythepet What isn't working? Do you have a demo shot that I can look at? I could probably figure out what needs to be done to fix it.
@Cromatcg13 жыл бұрын
@FloorZeroStudios The Nvidia Drivers take the 'Z' Axis data and convert it in depht that is applied to the 2d 'X and Y image the game normally renders, trasforming the image in something that looks like a fabric over a couch instead a flat surface. Some Bluray movies are using the same system to avoid 2 separate videos reducing the drastically the weight of the movies. =)
@FloorZero13 жыл бұрын
@ratuse If that is true, then how does the depth in 3D games work? I've experienced it first hand and it looks amazing. There's no way that the game environment has two cameras, it has just slightly displaced images at different transparency and colour by the looks of things. when viewing with Anaglyph 3D glasses on a regular 2D monitor at any rate. I'm not trying to prove you wrong or anything nomatter how it sounds, I really would like an answer because I want to know myself how this works.
@ratuse14 жыл бұрын
@Aviation4FSX You can, but there won't be any depth. The reason the 3D works is because of the two slightly different angles that your eyes see every thing. The same angle layered on it's self can't really simulate that.

is there any way to make a sequential 3D file that will play in 3D blue ray players like the commercial 3D discs? anaglyphic is cool but i would like the more colorful 3D videos for a wedding etc..
@Techolyptic13 жыл бұрын
@ratuse Oh, yes ofcourse. I forgot about that factor. I was only thinking you were syncing two separate audio files together XD sorry!

@chenelle97 Which version of Vegas are you using? Full name.
@ratuse13 жыл бұрын
@chenelle97 Ah, there's the problem. Though it is very similar in nearly every way, the movie studio programs lack certain small features that vegas pro has. The ability to mask sections of an image for instance, completely non existent in movie studio. :/

It wouldn't give you the two different angles you need. Even though the image from both cameras looks the same at a glance, they are actually seeing two different sides of the object. Our eyes do the same thing, and our brains mesh the two images into one.

@Austin-wb4jy7 жыл бұрын
ok, what i mean to say is, setting the top layer opacity to 50% totally ruins the effect. i hope i made it more clear.

Austin1800 not really cause its working just fine here
@Austin-wb4jy7 жыл бұрын
the red layer needs to be just as visible as the cyan layer, otherwise it just looks *way* too blue
@ratuse13 жыл бұрын
@bullriderfxxx That does not work. It is the perception of 2 different angles that makes our brains see 3 dimensionally. Just placing the same image twice does nothing. The best example I can give you is to place an object close to your face. Close your left eye, then switch to your right eye. You'll note that the view looks different in each eye. THAT is why you need two cameras.
@Techolyptic13 жыл бұрын

you should have tried keeping both of the video opacities at 100%, and setting the left video to either add, screen, lighten, or difference. i found that to work much better, at least for me.

You need two angles. One camera can not produce 3D images. Need proof? Go to a 3D film and close one eye. There's your one camera 3D.
@ratuse11 жыл бұрын
Oh my gawd. I'm going to be facepalming for hours over this. Two images of a flat image will not make it 3D, Mike. It might make the television screen that you're shooting look a little odd, but the images on the screen will not become 3D because they are two views of one flat image. No depth.
