This is honestly the most help I have received especially concerning a Mac! You are a blessing! I still can’t figure out how to send a zip file to my son because he was going to do this… But I have ended up creating my own slideshow and this was a great help even though I was almost at the end of what I was doing. Thank you so much Ryland! I was trying to put together a slideshow for a friend in Adobe Premiere Pro and it just wasn't looking professional and took A LOT of work. When I saw this video, I immediately called my friend who had a spare MacBook Air and asked if I could borrow it. Now, the hardest part of my project is complete and it looks better than it would have if I spent two months learning and editing in Premiere Pro. You're the best!!!

Help! Thanks to you I have figured out the slide show and you made it so easy! However, Im struggling with the music aspect. I have a song we have to play, I can Only Imagine, by Mercy Me. It's in my iTunes and lets me select it, but it will not play it! what am I doing wrong? I ex'd out the one that comes with the theme. What am I missing?

Awesome video. I got the main part of getting photos. I downloaded the slideshow into a USB drive and connect to a TV for funeral service but it does not appear?? Is this because it’s only compatible for Apple products? If so any way to get around this?? Thanks!

The tv may only recognize mp4 from usb. You could try converting the file to that with cloud convert website maybe.

add them as separate music files to itunes, then just choose them like normal songs. Or bring all of your audio files into garage band and export a final audio file. Then bring that into itunes and choose it.

This is great, but one thing. Adding music. When I go to iTunes in to select music, it shows all my music but the titles are greyed out so I can't select them. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

You can’t use Apple Music. You need to download them from the internet or purchase with iTunes.

It can’t be from Apple Music. You need to actually download from iTunes Store or obtain the file somehow and add it to iTunes.

Ryland, Thanks so much for the video. Can you please elaborate on what you mean by the presentation software that you are using? The church where we are having the Celebration of Life told me that PowerPoint does not work with their system. Can you suggest another presentation software that can accept this type of file from iPhoto and not cause compatibility issues?

The file this makes is simply a video file. Any church you are at should have a way to project videos on to a screen. Many churches use pro presenter, easyworship, proclaim or a similar software. This file will work with any of those.

I haven’t had that happen before. If it were me I’d download the free program called audacity, open the song with that and re export it as mo3 and add back to iTunes. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Wow, I've tried so many other editors to create tribute videos, used to love Proshow Gold, but it's long gone, but this just isn't something I can do quickly in Premiere, AE, or Final Cut. This is amazingly simple, and I can drop the results into an After Effects template for added effect. Thanks so much!
