Actually, the first person to meet in Silicon valley is you, because you manage to inspire so many people by filming videos about your life and launching a business. Besides, I'd be really interested in listening to an interview with Guy Kawasaki. He seems to be really wise person who can give extremely precious pieces of advice in both person life and launching a business

Marina, I grew up in Cupertino and your comment about our culture and what we spend our money on is important for people to know. I think the flashest people we see around are the want-to-be that are spending the money to look the part. They are leasing their cars and not putting their money to good use.

Not being too fancy is something I've learned when I started to work in a startup I.T company. In outsourcing IT company, there is much local mentality involved, but when you work for a startup? That's when you know what real I.T is about. And I personally had so many issues with this! Because I LOVE to dress smartly, I love looking my best etc. However, I soon realized that it's only hurting me. Still, I'm having the same issues (like, I'd better wear a blouse than a T-shirt), but after a decade in IT? I've adjusted to this one, I guess.
