If you have a Gabe's near nearby...they sell Chico's for a song. Sometimes I find Talbots and Coldwater Creek there as well. Make a list of the pieces in the video and go to it. Thrift and Resale shops can also be a place to keep it budget friendly.

I agree about Talbots prices, but I rarely pay full price for anything from Talbots and most retailers that have online stores. Talbots has online sales offering between 20 to up to 50% off. Sometimes every thing is discounted, sometimes it’s shoes, tops, etc. Since I do the majority of my shopping online, this is perfect for me. Many times the same discounts are available on in-store purchases as well.

I cannot see myself, in this age where minimalism and slow fashion are king, cluttering my wardrobe with all those purses and shoes! Plus, living in northern Canada, these outfits would work only 2 months a year. No mention of boots, jackets, woollen sweaters, etc. I understand the concept though. Anything with an orange jacket works for me! My best colour actually, it looks great worn in tandem with navy and aqua (also in my colour palette). Personally I'd swap the olive shorts for my olive jeans (now 4 years old and still loved). Such colourful capsule/garment combos, thank you Nancy. We are going on a Caribbean cruise over Thanksgiving. All of these outfits would be darling while cruising! I love all of your outfits you put together! But the cost of the accessories out costs the price of the clothes them selves. I would like to see a video like this one, but only using say… Three bags and three shoes. maybe the bright orange tote, the madras handbag, and the round woven bag with the bamboo handle. And maybe the brown sandals, white sneakers, and plaid espadrilles. I think you could’ve totally done the whole look with just three bags and three shoes switching them around and it would look just as good as purchasing all of those different accessories. Now I know this was fun and you could just mix-and-match to your hearts desire, and that was so fun also… But in a real world, we can’t purchase all of those shoes and bags every year… At least most of us can’t! I like Talbots, yet have invested mostly in their pants due to price point. I like your your outfit combinations yet doing a capsule wardrobe I would have stuck to a small purse, a natural summery type material purse like you showed and a navy or patterned tote. I wear narrow shoe sizing so I wear mostly a Trotters loafer, a Keds sneaker and a Naturalizer "Banks" Flat which helps my feet and look more polished to me than a flat sandal. I am shocked that you are able to just walk in and select 14 pieces! In my store, they don't have many items in my size or the color I want (I'm an autumn and pink is kept far, far away from me deliberately) or I try the items on and they look terrible or don't fit properly. I took a new black blazer to my tailor today for alteration. To fix the shoulders and turn up the sleeves will cost $100. The blazer cost me that so while it will fit properly, it is in essence, double the purchase price. I curse myself for donating all of my work clothes when I retired as many of the pieces could have been included in my capsule now.
