This is SO helpful, thank you! If I were to add a second (or even third) layer, how much should I increase the width of each subsequent layer by? Or would the original measurement suffice for fabric this thin?

If you are making subsequent layers with chiffon fabric, it should be fine to keep all the measurements the same without any need to increase at the waist. Hi there, we used Chiffon for this skirt, but you can use many types of fabrics to achieve this look depending on the occasion you are making it for.
