Im trying to recreate the same thing you're doing except im a complete beginner with basic knowledge of blender and i was just wondering how at 1:22 you chose specifically which room light to turn on

If you aren't using my building asset, you'd want to make two versions of the material. One that has lights and one that doesn't. So in your case it might be a glass material and an emissive material. First make sure all the windows have the glass material applied to them. Then go to Edit Mode, select the single window you want to have the light and apply the emissive material onto it. if you are using my building. Duplicate the 'building glass' material. Then make one with the lights on and one with the lights off, you'll wanna rename them so you don't get confused later. Then do the same as above. Make sure the material that's already applied has the lights "off" and then select the face you want, and apply the "on" version. hope that helps!
