Im a Deathstep producer and i gotta say... that aint it, like, it isn't bad but like, where is the sub? I'm not sure if that Is the recording but the lowend is litterelly nonexistent for some reason. and it rather sounds like Tearout then deathstep.

Dan used mainly samples from a Deathstep pack, what is the problem with this track in your opinion?

@@Ghosthack No pan snare. Poor mixing. And clashy sounds. It sounds more like Tearout which is what most people think Deathstep sounds like today anyway, witch isn’t Dan’s fault. Also while there is sub Deathstep generally has a very heavy sub.
@Constrict1996

Its not the genre. Dan just honestly seemed to have no clue how to do deathstep. Also deathstep sounding like tearout today is not true.

@@Constrict1996 I meant the genre is often confused not that most deathstep sounds like Tearout

Low end is pretty much nonexistent, what a scam, as much as I was a fan of yours this is beyond dissapointing =(

Dan added a sub bass in 0:58 which is clearly hearable. The track is rather heavy on the kick instead the sub which is not that uncommon in Deathstep, especially as it relies a lot on high and mid frequencies.

@@Ghosthackhere’s sub but it sounds like you eq’d out all the low end. And one of the points of Deathstep is to have a heavy beating sub.

@@Ghosthack you pinned the exact moment were you cut out "deathstep" from deathstep tutorial

@@Ghosthack Not to be rude but at that moment, after saying it's "distracting", you cut out the sub.
