To create songs with Duet, in the genre, you should Add the "Female and Male Duet", and for the part performed by female voice, you should put a female name in square brackets, for example: [Verse] [Mary] If only he knew... [John] If only she knew...

Been there, done that... got the t-shirt... for some reason, "Group Vocals" works better... don't know why... it just does!

Thanks for these very interesting how-to videos. But unfortunately, duets aren't the only thing that doesn't work well in Suno. This morning I started with a self-written lyric for a slow pop ballad love song and straight away had an apt musical interpretation, but the deep feelings conveyed by the text didn't seem expressive enough to me. A whole frustrating day at work and over 20 versions later, I have to realize that Suno is almost entirely a music random box, which only follows what it feels like doing at the moment, rather than the first version (which is a bit too flimsy for me), none of the versions produced even came close. Sometimes the genre was ignored, sometimes it was a female singer, sometimes the melody didn't fit the lyrics or verses were sung twice. If these things didn't happen, slow and sad were interpreted with a cheerful jingle. 😩 Over the course of the day I really tried everything possible to optimize the musical style, tempo, instrumentation, singer's voice and the musically conveyed message, but the thing remains a stubborn random generator if you don't want to be satisfied with a random and mostly simple song. Are there now serious alternatives other than Udio (which has other shortcomings)?

Have you tried generating 32 seconds of audio (using your music style) in Udio, then using that as either an extend or cover in Suno? Also, have you tried the tag "Melancholic" for your singer's voice? (Example: Gravely Melancholic Harmonic Baritone Male Vocalist)

@@Zanzibar169 Thanks for the reply. In fact, the only thing I haven't tried is generating a short track using Udio. Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out today. As for tags, I've tried every single term that has come to my attention over the past few months. “Melancholic” worked just as little or accidentally as “sad”, “dark”, “slow”, “gloomily” or “sinister”. If the created mood happened to go in the intended direction, it failed due to other things, such as a completely failed melody.

Thank you for this tutorial, I learned about extending using audio uploads. For that you are my hero. I am running into a problem, though... I am doing everything you displayed, specifying a Male vocalist1 and a Female vocalist2 but it all comes out female, and I am bleeding credits.

I did try to warn you that Suno is quite buggy when it comes to doing duets... normally it's an exercise in patience and credits. The group vocals are usually your best bet, and so are the parenthesis ( and )... Maybe I got lucky and got it on the 2nd roll... all I've found is in the is video, sorry...

Thanks for the video. I do two vocalists on every song usually. A rapper and a singer. I can write the lyrics enough to differentiate the two. It works decently well. Check out my stuff if you get a sec,
