FF to 1:25 to avoid my rant on dupes.
As promised here is a breakdown of how to create a dupe fragrance and start a dupe fragrance brand. Advance to 1:25 to skip my dupe rant. I am doing this to shed some light on how fragrances are designed and made and to deepen the appreciation of the art of perfumery. As I mention in my video, I am VERY much turned off by dupe fragrances because of their capitalistic motivations that parasite the work and vision of artists and industry. No matter how big and prestigious a brand is, that isn’t a free pass to condone intellectual theft and plagiarism. Theft is still theft. You can’t solve a problem by creating a bigger and more dishonest one. If a brand can’t stand and move product on its own merit and vision without parasitizing someone else’s, then what is the point… other than making a buck by stealing someone else’s signature and identity. #dupes #dupedragrance #dupe #perfume #perfumes #fragrance #fragrancelovers

You definitely got a follow from me. I can feel the passion behind it all. I’ve always wanted to get into the cologne industry and I have a great feeling I’m in the right place. Thank you

I was an analytical chemist. They don't need to discover the endless molecular formulas if all the potential ingredients are known. They will be using a form of chromatography. This separates mixtures through a column giving a specific time to the chemical and the concentration of each chemical can be determined in comparison with standards of suspected chemicals or even the ingredient.

@@TheBandProblem Sweet but when would anyone know the full list of ingredients in perfumery if for the most part that list (asides allergens) is kept secret? I would assume that is mostly an informed guess. Lots of materials, especially naturals, share some of the same molecules so its a bit of a guess to retro engineer a fragrance if the list of ingredients aren’t fully disclosed. Maybe AI can help see molecular patterns and plot them agains a list of potential ingredients.

My signature scent was discontinued which was armani mania for men there's only a few dupes out there and in my opinion they only get like 60 to 70% close it's sad to not have that fragrance anymore cause everyone on ebay want like 300 for it these days

Perfumery use to be my hobby. I started with doop out of curiosity. But i prefer formulating from scratch puzzeling everthing from 25 to 50 different aroma chemicals to naturals. But i do also use doop as an achord.

Thank you so much. I watched thousands of clips and this one by far is the most helpful. I am interested in making my own mixes and brand. Any idea or pounters about what i need from regulatory perspective? Register with FDA? How do i register the brand .... Etc.? Many thanks again

Very informative video thank you. Where do one start when it comes to learning the raw materials of perfumery.I’ve been selling dupes for a while and I really do appreciate the industry craft..I don’t have a chemistry background and it sometimes kind of gets one discourage..but I’d really want to go to the next level when it comes to knowing my scents. Thank you. Emmanuel from SA🇿🇦

Thank you for this great information! Can i use the concentrated oil directly? without any carrier?
@artandalchemyparfum
@artandalchemyparfum 2 ай бұрын
@@alexandrustefanica Do not use the concentrated oils as is. That could actually be dangerous given the high concentration of materials. You have to use a carrier like ethanol or oil. Very rarely does a perfume go over a concentration of 25% and that is considered high. We see more like 5-15% most often.

Video author is absolutely right, these raw materials will absolutely damage your body if it's concentrated enough. At the end if the day, they are chemicals in very high ppm and too much of anything good, is bad. A good example is vitamins, minerals, even water will kill you if you drink too much! Another thing to note is that alcohol gives the evaporation needed for the raw materials to be projected. Take bleu de chanel for example, edt has a lot of projection but lasts 4hrs while it's parfum, comparatively, has no projection(especially side by side you would laugh and say that the parfum doesn't even have a smell just because of how low the projection is) but, parfum easily lasts 12+ hrs, and its really nice for someone who wants a subtle scent. That being said, if you only applied dbc parfum to test it, you will see its beautiful projection and sillage, it's only when you compare it with the edt that you notice the sheer difference between the two(projection and longevity), (they do smell ever so slightly different to each other and thats a conscious decision made by chanel to help differentiate the three bdc perfumes, but you would see the trend in many perfumes save for a few outliers.)

Hi hope youre all well. Do you know of any wholesale perfume oil sellers similar to wellington fragrance that are in europe? I was looking and couldnt find any. Keep doing what you do🤩🤩🤩

I unfortunately don't. Perhaps you can take a look at the following page. They might have a few European vendors listed. I know for certain that there are equivalents in at least France as I see some dube brands claiming that their perfumes are made in France. Meaning they buy the oils from a vendor there. artandolfaction.com/suppliers/

Hi there. Asides Wellington I haven’t really invested much time in finding manufacturers of dupe oils. As stated in my video, iI am not a fan of them BUT I also like to educate people about different sides to the fragrance industry and Dupes are 💯 part of it for better or worse. I’m sure if you do a quick Google search many relevant manufacturers nearer to your location will pop up. My suggestion is to find several and order a tiny sample of a dupe of a fragrance you know very well and compare which one makes the best one to your nose than choose the manufacturer you prefer based on that. 😊
