@@TrevorNace Actually, you can not forward the linked cell phone # to the Google Voice #. I tried. The forwarding only seems to work one way. In theory if you forwarded your cell# to GV, they/it would forward the call back to you, thus a circle in which you would never hear the ring. Apparently you could port your cell # to GV which would solve that, but I'd worry that I would never get it back. Charter Cable is that way they even though it's the law that they have to release your number, they won't. Been there done that. But thanks anyway for the video!!

It's just to get the google number. You can unlink your personal number after and still be able to use the google voice number. I've been using google voice since 2021 with no issues. Once you have internet on your phone, you can make and receive calls and texts, and you can also add minutes to call international numbers.
