Adding to this, if you want to avoid the opponent exploiting your defensively weaker side and want to funnel them more down the defensively strong one, consider having the Complete Forward and Raumdeuter mark the opposing Center Back and Full Back respectively.

@DarkHorseFM2023 using a very similar formation since a while, I can answer you: if your opponent is strong on the right, you can put your left am (the raumdeuter in this case) man marking tight the opponent fb/wb. You can also balance a bit more the back four switching the two CDs.

@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker 4-2-3-1 , my double pivots are combination of DLP of course and DM or BWM, most of the time one of them will take more risk, AM in behind PF , and one of wingers will take attack role and the other will do defense. But not always I get results
@blakele36863 күн бұрын
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker yes, I pair him with a DM, BWM or VOL. An inverted wing-back, AM sits behind PF and one of the wingers will play aggressive and try to score, the other will take less risk. I lost 2 games in Europa League but in Eredivisie, still a good run so far

1 more idea: we set up base on opposition and calculate to get at least 1 player becomes free runner with lots of space. for instance: if AI use 4-2-3-1 with 2 DM and 2 IW on attack (DM being a safe playing roles, like DLP on sup and anchor or something). If they use IFB on the right and a wingback on the left. I will use a IW sup on the right, tucking in central area, push righ back fb attack, paired with a CAM playing support AP, I can tie up the 2 DMs and their left back with the right winger and attacking mid, giving space for my right back to confuse their left wing. Further chaos could be created if I use Regista paired with anchor, and IW on attack on the left to pin their RB in place. With that set up, I got my regista and right full back on attack free spaces to wreck havoc while a back 3 (left IFB included) and anchor provide defensive cover.
@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker3 күн бұрын
love the breakdown!! And I love the regista/anchor pairing... I need to give them a shot together

Its quite an interesting concept, but if your attacking side is nullified (lets say a team has a better defensive right hand side) then does that make your tactics ineffective until a change? Also I have my keeper set to short passes and have all the instructions set to it. Yet I keep seeing him hoof it, any tips? Love your videos mate!
@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker3 күн бұрын
It is a danger for sure, and probably the biggest counter to this style. But the idea of having the left side "positionally free" (so to speak) is to have them figure out how to break down a difficult defensive side. As far as your keeper, what's the position your using, Goalkeeper or Sweeper? and if the sweeper, what role? And you mentioned the team instructions, you've got "play out of defense" and "distribute to center backs" ticked on? Sadly sometimes the goalie will do that on his own... I think I specifically mentioned it in a video a while back because it was annoying me. 😂😂

Is it possible to make a tactic that really heavily focuses on one side of the pitch? Like a 4231 but with the striker offset to the right, the 10 in the rightmost slot and the two holding midfielders in the right and centre spots? I’ve tried it but I can’t seem to get it to work
@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker3 күн бұрын
It's for sure possible, just have to get the player roles right. If you want it to focus on one side of the formation, you can do a similar idea to what I did in this one. Have playmaker(s) and attacking roles on one side, and then use the other side with more passive roles that want to play it safer.

Slowly but surely, I see you moving towards asymmetrical and multi-playmaker 😂😂😂😂

Your left wing is wayy to open.
@Naren253 күн бұрын
I'm not sure it is. There is a solid 2-2 block in rest defence, and the playmaker will often sit slightly in front of the DMs. That means there are three players able to peel off towards the left flank and slow down counterattacks while the complete wing back sprints back into position. The flanks certainly could be a weakness to exploit though accurate long balls given the narrow defence, but I don't think it's a huge problem. If you were very concerned, a solution could be to swap the libero to a ball playing defender with the "stay wider" instruction and roaming playmaker to a deep lying playmaker on defend. That would make a 3-2-5 shape in attack giving a wider rest defence.
@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker3 күн бұрын
One of the dangers of playing with a Raumdeuter and a Complete Wing Back on the same side!
@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker3 күн бұрын
@@Naren25This is one of those where I created a tactic specifically for the video to show how to create two separate styles. I agree with the Libero/CB role; I'd probably change it to a backline of CD/CD/IFB to give me a back three if this was more of a "normal" approach to a tactic But I liked the Libero to show the separation of a side with more static roles versus a side with a lot of movement. And great analysis :)
@VurtAddicted3 күн бұрын
@martincvikl5321 it is not. I won everything possible with a very similar tactic, is was actually exactly the same on the flanks. If the opponent has a very offensive fb/wb, just man mark him tight with the raumdeuter
