I was hesitant to watch this bc of the length of the video, but watching you actually work through it and hearing you think out loud was actually really helpful. Thank you. :)

Thank you for all your contributions to the ID community. I’ve been feeling very inadequate lately when it comes to designing. My graduate program seems to focus heavily on the K-12 sector (I don’t have a teaching background) and we only use free tools. I plan to use my student refund to purchase Articulate 360 so I look forward to practicing and recreating this game.

Hello hello! I'm sorry to hear that your program is focusing on K12. Supplementing your program with this channel should definitely help you learn more about the corporate side of things. I suggest using Articulate free trial to learn the tools so that you don't have to shell out so much extra cash.
@sol1angel3 жыл бұрын
@@DevlinPeckYT thank you! I’ll definitely take advantage of the trial first then.

Thank you so much for this Tutorial!! I have one comment. If you match the first pair and then can't match a second one, all the cards get flipped back to normal. You can avoid this by setting a condition: Change condition of Doodle 1 to Normal when timeline on this layer ends IF Condition of Doodle 1 does NOT EQUAL Success.

Thanks Marco and great observation! We appreciate you sharing 😃

Where do you set the condition? I am confused - I have all of the triggers as shown in the video, but can't figure out where to place this condition!

Oh my goodness, I got it. Thank you thank you thank you! I have been messing around with it for a while and I seriously appreciate you commenting because it also made me feel more comfortable with the programming aspect. Thank you thank you!

Got to 49 minutes then lost the thread a bit haha will go back a little and see where I went wrong. Thanks for doing these videos. Very helpful.

Haha no worries, I know I can move fast and some of these concepts are pretty nonconventional. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello, I just found your channel today. Thank you for all helpful videos! Could you make video about " what does an Instructional designer do? " or tracking one project and show us what you do in each phase of the project. I am thinking I might want to be an Instructional designer but not sure because I do not know exactly what I would do as an Instructional designer. So those videos would be really helpful for me! Thank you

Hi, love your content 👌 I think I may have a solution for the flipping of the cards animation. Firstly you have to create the active state card minus the icon, then on the slide (not in the edit state section) you create the active state card, group the card and icon, add the animation, copy this card and then go back to the original active state, delete the active state card but not the state and now copy the card with icon and animation into the active state. I hope this makes sense 🥴

Thank you very much for the contribution, it was excellent, how can I prevent the correct answers from disappearing, since they disappear and you have to select them again. Some email to get to talk.

I almost have this worked out but I am still having some trigger issues. Is it possible to get a screen capture of the triggers on the slide for Mustache 1 and then the same for the layer. If I understood correctly once I have the triggers for 1 in the correct order all I have to do is copy the triggers to my other objects.

What should I do when we find a pair and when next is not pair then all cards set back to normal how do I fix this
@DevlinPeckYT2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about that one! Maybe someone in the community can help.
@Rockster9822 жыл бұрын
Someone above posted about this as well. On the layer, you will need to add a condition to the triggers -- "set state of Doodle 1 to normal when the timeline ends on this layer, if the state of Doodle 1 ≠ Success"

This was useful, but I wish there was more structure. We are going a little all over rather than focusing on one element at a time, completing the entire task or questioning the process. It is very confusing for beginners. I was able to manage, but with lots of going back.

Thanks for letting me know about your experience! I'm glad you were able to pause and go back to adjust the pacing, some of these workshops definitely go faster than others. Something for us to keep in mind for future workshops :D Appreciate you tuning in!

@@DevlinPeckYT I managed for about half. I am stuck at programming the correct card match.
