Yeah making templates are a little complicated with Photoshop.

There are faster ways of creating collages in 2019, but this tutorial will give you a sense of control over the process. The instructions on creating borders alone made the whole thing worth it.

New Guide Layout may not be on the version. Here is another way. Click on View>New Guide. Input 50% vertical. Go to View>New Guide again then input 50% horizontal.Repeat the steps and input 33% vertical, 66% vertical. Then when you want the guides to be removed, go to View>Clear Guides.

The image is in a normal folder. You just have to drag it and drop it into Photoshop.

Idont have the "New guide Layout" on the view tab on my CS6,just new guide,and ther bars wont show up with this,what can be done,thanks!

If you do not have "New Guide Layout", then follow these steps instead: Go to View - New Guide. Then input Vertical 33.3%. Then go to View - New Guide again, input 50%, then again and input 66.6% Then got to View - New Guide again. Then input Horizontal 50%.

When trying to make the borders I keep getting a message that says "Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible." what am I doing wrong? I can't get far enough to right click and select stroke.

Hey. What version of Photoshop do you have? Can you give the exact time on the video that you are stuck at? Is it the Single Row Marquee Tool, Single Column Marquee Tool, or Rectangular Marquee Tool?

Did you create a new layer at the top? Also make sure the settings on the single column marquee tool is set the same as in the tutorial. Look at the top and have the first icon selected and feather set to 0. Let me know if you are still having issues.
