"How do you like to be loved" is a much more clear question. But if you don't love someone how they need love, your relationship won't work out long term.
@astronomer74710 ай бұрын
The love language tests are basically bullshit. It's no more scientific than those typical personality tests you take online. Only the Big 5 Personality Test has any solid research behind it. These other personality types are not based on any research at all. Some Baptist pastor just made this crap up about five languages of love. He doesn't even hold a degree in psychology. There aren't five love languages, and if you tell a woman sweet things, "words of affirmation", she might reciprocate by kissing or hugging, but is that really less meaningful because it isn't "the same love language?" None of this makes a lot of sense. You are not going to say, "I like you less now that you hugged me instead of telling me you love me," because physical affection is just another of saying the same thing, or can be. Some will have preferences, but it's not like those preferences for affection being displayed a certain way creates conflict necessarily. I think the concept is a bit silly.
@Jennthegreen10 ай бұрын
@@astronomer747 saying that love languages and that people don't have a perfered way to be loved, is ignorant. Ofc we have a preferred way to have our partner to show us love. It's a human thing.

@@Jennthegreen Did you read my comment? I said people may have preferences for one form of affection, but that doesn't mean there are five love languages or that love languages predict who is a good partner for you. This is not based on any solid research.

Depending on whether or not they are asking the question or not. All of a sudden I’ve noticed that when the questions start to get tough and she wants to avoid something all of a sudden communicating like adults become off limits. Imagine if she had some hard/tough questions for you that were really important to her and you replied “sorry , I don’t feel like answering any questions right now….” I literally burst out laughing and was completely stunned with that statement. And that I still allowed her to live in the house. Cause if I EVER game that statement when faced with a hard emotional question I would have been staying at my buddy’s house but. Apparently that’s normal I was told.. (some gaslighting is the cherry on top). So now whenever we’re driving somewhere or she’s pissed about something and is demanding an answer as to why I did something. That’s my standard comeback,,, “ ahhhh I don’t feel like answering any questions right now!!!!!!” I almost got our family vacation cancelled after that comment. Wish I could have reacted that way when she said it…..

I just think each woman is different. Some will take longer than others, but I think the key is just making them feel like they can explain past sexual dynamics in relationships without judgment or just finding their sexuality curious or interesting. Once you ask a question like, "how comfortable are you with kissing a guy you like after a few dates" or whatever, the rest just kind of happens naturally. It's a conversation so I don't think you have to think of everything. If it doesn't flow naturally, probably wasn't meant to be or they might have some sort of sexual repression going on or something. But I never recommend following a script or saying anything you aren't comfortable with. And if they are comfortable with their sexuality, and comfortable with you, the conversation will not be forced at all. It's only awkward if they aren't interested in you or you lack charm and/or humor, or just proper manners around this. At the end of the day, you either have chemistry or you don't, and if you do not, find someone else. The right way to approach it is the way she responds well to, which can vary.
@astronomer74710 ай бұрын
@@CalebTheConsultant Yes, but the best teacher is experience, and a lot of the does and don'ts advice is going to need to be revised and tailored to a given person. Some women will laugh at sexual humor and are extremely comfortable, and I think conversations a dating coach would say hell no to will work depending on how you approached it and who you were with. A dating coach cannot tell you you're doing it wrong if it is received well. Videos like this are not giving bad advice, but don't think you have to follow it in any obvious way. Some women will laugh hysterically at things others will be appalled by. It's all highly subjective.

Is the following… I’ve dated many women in my life, and each one of you is different to varying degrees when it comes to intimacy. You must treat each woman as an individual and you more or less have to feel your way. No pun intended. There’s no set rule when it comes to individuals. Too many questions like, "how do you like to be kissed" will have me retort, "a real lover already knows." So pucker up and find out yourself!

Touchy subject... There is a lot of incidents of men being criminally charged for attempting to follow this type of advice. This type of advice takes from only examples of men's success from the group of men who are significantly socially advanced. This advice is then simplified into an A+B+C path for a socially disadvantaged individual to stumble through. Truth is, if she is interested then she will initiate these questions first and identify her boundaries. Once she initiates these questions, then the man can test these boundaries. A man testing boundaries is considered "playful fun". She likes her "secrets", and the man plays to figure out her "secrets". If she does not initiate this conversation, this topic is off limits and significantly risky to navigate
@ws-ss8ks10 ай бұрын
It has been my experience (middle aged American women) that if a woman thinks you are hot, she will carry the conversation towards sex/physical play. If she doesn't think you are hot, she will eat the dinner you paid for and not call back. You will not change that with any series of questions or a good conversation.

I don't know what century you're living in, but if a man waits until dates three and four before bringing up any kind of interesting romantic topics, he is never going to get to a third or fourth date. Because she's already put him in the friend zone. He has bored her to death with non romantic and non sexual banter, so he is going nowhere. Meanwhile she's gone out on a date with another guy who is not afraid to discuss romantic and sexual topics on the first date. That's the guy she's going home with, not the guy who is “playing it safe”.

Honestly though, they're all terrible 1st date choices, for differing reasons. Think about if someone's trying to sell you something expensive that you're unsure on... you initially want the least commitment, the easiest out, the safest testing. What I'm saying is make that first date require very little of her. Or you for that matter. Coffee, at a convenient place at a convenient time. If it goes well, you can stay a bit longer or go for a stroll. If it doesn't, you can just leave after 20-30 minutes.

This is intriguing, but for young men looking for dating advice, I'd strongly recommend you watch some of the most popular *male* vloggers, e.g., Dan Bacon. Why? Nearly all female advice folks that I've encountered are unable to speak objectively on the topic. For young men who are shy, a woman describing how a bad-boy behaves is an instant indicator that she's filtering her advice through her own subjective world. You're not interested in dating her -- she's an internet phantasma, maybe a great person, but not someone you'll ever interreact with. Adult women (or men) who are still talking about the bad-boy phenomenon are not sufficiently knowledgeable. This is a female neurosis--you should not be adjusting your behavior to fit someone else's mental malady. What most women *TRULY* want is a real man, a manly man, someone strong in all the positive senses and confident, "bluff" is perhaps the American model (look up the adjective). None of us is all these things, but aim in that direction and you'll do fine. The "bad boy" is the cheap/short-cut version, the male boob-job version, of attractiveness to weak or callow women.

I rather suspect if one were to try to follow this advice verbatim as presented, it's not going to be nearly as objective and universal as it's being presented.

She wants all the rubbing without the expectation of sex afterwards and I'm rubbing her hoping it will go somewhere but I know it most likely will not. I keep desiring a partner that I can be my bad boy self with and she is all for it. If my wife and I can turn our attitudes around about sex, and my approach to sex is where I feel okay assuming she wants it too, it'll save our marriage. The damage we are doing to each other must stop when it comes to this subject. I'm pretty much ready to give up on her.
