I'd always assumed there was some kind of metal mesh or boning in mascot costumes to give rigidity. It's kind of amazing it's JUST foam (and a lot of very intricate sewing techniques). Really gets me wanting to pull the trigger and start making that Bowser costume i always dreamed of.

It depends a bit on what kind of approach people have to create their pattern, and if you want an articulated jaw you need a rigid shell!

You can email with your project. My creations are very different and prices are all over the place. But i dont make digi stilts because i dont have the tools to make safe ones, you can buy other digi stilts online from webshops

How did you make the template? Guessing? or did you use 3d or another method

I make nearly all of my patterns by making my own 3d model then importing it into pepakura to unfold it into a 2d pattern.

Depends how cheap u can buy the foam and fabric and how big the costume is. Can be a hundred dollars to like 500usd for materials

you can substitute for an old matress topper, a bottle of shoe glue from the diy store, handsew kit and fleece blankets or fleece cuts easily

i made my own 3d model and unfolded it in pepakura (papercraft program) to make my pattern, but you can download that one i made on my website.

you can use pepakura to rescale a lot of things yes :) it has built in tools to measure distance at various points in the 3dmodels@@KittenKilSwitch
