As Delfio Bacco mentioned in the comments, you can use the GLIDE parameter with Tubesynth in LEGATO or RETRIGGER mode to get the pitched up tweets but I found it didn't make a big enough difference to include int he video. Worth a try though, maybe another parameter needs tweaking to get the most out of the glide function. I should also mention it sounds grittier with the filter DRIVE parameter up higher than i had it in this video.

Adding a modulation of the filter as driven by the aftertouch allows me to make it scream appropriately.

Thank you for that ... I'm an acid techno freak and am getting back into making music. MPC is new to me so finding a good believable TB303 is crucial. If I make a tune and it sells then I promise to send some money your way. ❤

I literally said to my mate yesterday "was playing around with some 303 samples last night thinking I wish I could make my own!" and then boom. Here you are. Must be some kind of sign for me to sign up as a Patron!

nice! if you put it monophonic and then play with glide on just some notes you can probably get even closer to the original feel :)

Yes, I did try it in RETRIGGER and LEGATO mode with a glide time of around 13 ms and it sounded OK but didn't make a big enough difference to the sound, although I probably should have mentioned this in the video. I appreciate the comment though, peace :)

Did you get a good glide result? Obviously this is a critical element to the sound. Nice one! Thank you both.

Surprised you don't have a reply guy saying the TB is 24dB/octave, I guess that's me then lol. I'd made a similar patch and set it at that, other difference was I made the square slightly soft, filter sounds reasonably authentic if you stay between around 20 and 75% I find. Nice vid Mr Digga, inspired me to make an acid tune, nice one, top one, sorted. Got any Veras? :-)

the 303 filter is so strange that doesn't actually sound like a 24 db/oct at all :)

I do wonder of we will ever see a specific 303 emulation with sequencer glides etc in the MPC plugin format.

I dream of a day where people have fully unlocked the software with user made plugins available. If the software was less locked down there would already be such a plugin available imo

Have you found any easy ways to step sequence acid lines with the bassline? Using the Arp doesn't seem to work well as you need to have overlapping notes for glides. I guess you can record it and go back and extend notes but it's tedious.

When you said 303 acid i was expecting those classic 303 note bends. Still a good video though Mr Digga (",)
