Awesome video, I've been consuming cinematography content for the last two weeks and this is the first time I've seen a black female creator, it makes it so much more accessible and inspiring to see. You also strike a balance between explaining the concepts and showing their application. Super helpful, please make more teaching videos like this if you get the chance :)

Oh my gosh! 9:18 I keep rewinding and staring at this shot. Love everything about it: the different textures, the patterns in the metal/iron, the mysterious look in those brick arches, how the sky and water complement each other, the glow and & simplicity of how the lights just escort your eyes off into the distance, and on and on. Mostly I can actually see myself there with a coffee and a pastry just staring off into the distance and enjoying the ambiance. You’re amazing! Thx! 🖼️

I LOVE THIS. This is so inspirational to me. It's been a goal of mine to include more **cinematic** **aesthetics** into my content. I do so much talking head content, but I want to go out in the wild more and share tips through more imagery and a change of scene. Saving this to rewatch again and again.

@@BrittneyJanae ...I mean when making the unexposed areas of the scene its own character, giving depth, framing and texture which can be moody or threatening like the opening segment of 007 "Casino Royale" and LL Cool J's ""Mama Said Knock You Out"... or the shadows can convey being calm, thoughful and reflective, as seen in many instances throughout "Games of Thrones" - Looking forward to see what your take will be as you contine the journey.

If you'd be the 18 year old who knew nothing about filmmaking and broke as well what are the ways you root for getting this and get started and what could be yours long term goal when you got to know about it a little
@BrittneyJanae Жыл бұрын
If I was 18 years old and didn’t know about filmmaking I would be on KZbin everyday at least for a hour learning about filmmaking then taking out 3 hours daily to put what I learned into action. If you’re broke and can’t get a camera learn it all with your PHONE! Long term would be getting a camera I can grow to learn and create with. But I would learn lignting, camera settings and all of the essentials so that when I did get a camera I already know how to FILM
