Hello from Mumbai, India. I just came across this video and i think that “was meant to be” because i was planning to dispose an old plastic tray which had “yellowed” with age but now will definitely try your technique and if it works, 👏👏👏but if it doesnt, nothing ventured nothing gained. Thank you for sharing your creations.

Stunning! I am just amazed. Your micas are so sparkly ... do you add a lot to your resin or do you add some sort of additive that gives it the sparkle. I realize the glitter also adds sparkle, but all these colors except the plum seem so sparkly. I want to try and make something similar as a table top for my son's birthday. Very inspired!!
@LiaDiaDesigns2 жыл бұрын
I use mostly shimmery or pearlescent micas... so that's why my Pigments always look so shiny... the plum was not pearlescent, so you can see the difference 😊

That's really pretty. If you had just left it as it was to start with, would have been gorgeous as well. Love those colors and the sparkle!!!

HI Nadia, I will keep all crossed 🤞 because you give me so much Inspiration …………Nadia please can you tell me when you are mixing your resin do you put the Hardener in a Container first or the resin in first. thanks 👍❤️
@susanpickup94972 жыл бұрын
Hi Linda, just came across your question, and if you are interested in my method, while waiting for Nadia to respond, as we all know she is super busy...... I put the hardener in first as it is thinner and less viscous, then add the thicker resin in next. If you put resin in first as it is thick, it may remain close to the walls of the container, and not mix in as well. That’s my reasoning, hope it helps! ✌️🇦🇺👍

OK Nadia that looks awesome.. I would love to do this on a smaller scale. I love the colors. I to mix colors... My brain will not let me think (wow that is a beautiful blue BUT I could make it better). Actually I could never make two creations alike because resin never acts the same and biggest reason it because I mix colors so much. I am very interested in seeing what you do next to this piece. Thank you for the time and talent you share. I so appreciate you ...hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙

If you can warm the board from beneath..like a wax burner or heating pad, then u will increase your work time.
@LiaDiaDesigns2 жыл бұрын
I don't think that works for my resin to be honest, the warmer it gets, the faster it starts to set (heat accelerates it's curing time)... but it may work for other resins. I also really like the speed of my resin, I specifically use it because it sets quickly and cures within 8 hours. There are a few projects where I feel I'm rushing against the clock a bit, but if i wanted to, I could use one of CCDIY's other viscosities for longer working time.

This is beautiful but what do you mean by liquid latex?
@LiaDiaDesigns2 жыл бұрын
It's a liquid product used in special effects makeup and even nail art... you could also use school glue I believe... but I've been using the liquid latex

do these countertop resins need alot of ventilation while they are drying?
@LiaDiaDesigns3 ай бұрын
hi, yes, all resins require proper room ventilation, as it's a chemical mixture that cures, not dries. In my space, I have an exhaust fan that keeps the circulation moving by cycling out the air. If you can, at minimum, keep a couple windows open in your space so you can get cross ventilation as the resin cures. Also, it's advised to wear nitrile gloves, goggles and a chemical respirator as you work with the resin. I know everyone has different opinions on this, but I've heard way too many people who didn't for months or years, then started having severe reactions to resin. It's a super fun craft, but please be safe.💕
