But trying to provide at least some valuable hint: You will need to set your actuals tables up (get data) and then you will need to model and link all these tables together (using power pivot). Can you construct a second line (graphic) as a mix, half as ACTUAL activities (until today, automatically) and half as activities REPLANNED for the future. Then, at a result, one can have 2 lines, one with FORECAST (=TARGET, GOAL, PLANNED) and the other one with ACTUAL+REPLANNED data (both at the same line: half ACTUAL + half REPLANNED). Could you do this?

@planicontrol Great video well done sir! How do you add the monthly data labels to the x axis? It's currently only showing the month every 6 months. Jan 2013 then Jul 2013. I want to show every individual month

This is a great question and fortunately an easy fix. On the right hand side panel (fields), find the data field you are applying on the x-axis of your visual (should be in a date format). Right click on this field and select GROUP. A new pop up window will show the settings. Choose to group it by months (interval 1). It will create a new "group" field. Replace this new field on the x-axis and you should get the desired outcome

Hi Connor, we do and we have produced SCurves directly from a XER file and from a P6 SQL connection. However, it gets tricky, as Primavera P6 doesnt store the time-phased data in its database (it is generated by P6 using complex algorythms). So what we do is try to mimic this algorythm in Power BI, using the budgeted units and the time frame. We dont have a video for this as it takes quite a long time to reproduce P6 algorythm, so we developed the step-by-step in our training here: members.projectcontroltraining.com/a/2147491015/FQYXkKQH

Hi @user-gl7tf9ug7b! many thanks for watching it! Coming to your query... of course you can and I would advise you take that route (create a standard report in P6). Anything we can do to standardise the process is a way to go. Of course, there are also other options. If you check our youtube channel we have other videos in english where we show how you can also connect P6 XER files to BI, P6 XML files to BI and SQL database connection to P6 to report directly on BI.

It is really a good question. once you get the SQL connection in place, the next thing is to learn about the Primavera P6 database schema, so you can learn how to model (connect) the different tables. The schema will tell you how the different tables are connected (by primary and foreign fields) and then you can model them in power BI.
